Kubhakaran slept most of time in His life , Still He got Moksha .

why . is it possible for us too

Kumbhakaran, Ravan and Vibhishan were staunch devotees of Shiva. They

had done many penances (for material desires). I believe, that when you

do saadhana, even for worldly desires, it turns around and helps you

towards moksha once you leave your ahamkara behind.

 

However, the sleeping does not help with anything..., though I wish it

did

Namasate Jitendra. Kumbhkaran didnt get moksha for nothing or by just

sleeping.He was a great devotee of lord and so was Ravan.As Jaya and

Vijaya they were the dwaarpaals of Vaikuntha. As a part of Lord Hari's

leela they were cursed by the four rishi brothers( Sanat etc).So they

had to take three births as demons on the Earth and Lord had to come to

liberate them. I think they took birth as hiranyaksh and Hiranakashepu;

Ravan and Kumbhakaran ; Kans and Shishupaal

Moksha is a liberation of the self from the ego and vasanas of body

consciousness. Ravan and Kumbhakaran also had a soul/self which was held in

prison by their evil consiousness. Lord in his loving mercy liberated the self

and gave them moksha by killing their bodies and making the soul escape the body

consciousness. According to the will of God, all have to attain moksha. Birth

after birth, we all evolve to moksha. At the end of creation, in Pralaya and

Mahapralaya, when all the living and non-living beings cease to exist, we merge

with the Supreme Being. Then, we perforce attain Moksha.

jitendarji, that was his nature, his prakriti. Our Nature is

temporary, & does not stop us from getting Moskha, provided we are

willing to transcend it. Thats why even theives, murderers, have

become great sages.
