It is a normal clock but if you fix a time on it then at prescribed hour it will start giving loud voice as bell or as music and you will wake up hurry up purchase one before it gets too late vishnu

You made me smile in the morning so my day will be good today. Der Jitinder, Normally a " Sankalpa " made before sleeping will certainly wake you up at appointed time. In my life I never tried to wake up early and do meditation. Instead i focussed on my sadhna and slowly i found that the sleeping hours were lesser and lesser. The more spiritually we are awakened, the more are chances that we would automatically wake up at wee hours. Sometimes forcibly waking up works but most of the times it disturbs the normal sleeping hours making us more Tamoguni love Aum
Guest guest
OMNAMONARAYANAYA Jituji Pranams. Sleep is a state of physiological (not sickness related) unconsciousness. An average adult requires 6 to 8 hrs of sleep in 24 hrs. Please observe for a few days and decide how much you need. Split the total sleep into two installments day sleep and night sleep. One hour afternoon nap is extremely useful to reduce your total sleep requirement. During night please go to bed after having a cup of hot milk 5 hrs before 4-00AM . And Kaliyuga Vishnu has a point. Time of waking up from sleep is a " conditioned reflex " IE brain can be programmed to wake you up at 4-00AM . After using any measure including an Alarm clock for a week you will wake up at 4-00 AM even without an alarm clock. ijswamy ~SWAMY http://gjnanaswarup.spaces.live.com/blog/

Guest guest
You shouldn't try to make any sudden changes. the impact is never long lasting. Instead set your alarm clock five minutes earlier every day. in a month or so, you'll be waking up at 4:00.

Guest guest
Nothing wrong with what you said... its just incomplete. The problem is that you have to develop habits that last a lifetime. If you make a sudden change you'll see the 'elastic' effect. In a week you'll be back to your old ways. I've never in my life seen anyone suddenly give up the habits of a lifetime and make it stick. (there are a few exceptions, you read about them in inspirational books) Its Always better to make gradual change. There is no question of laziness here... rather its discipline coming from INSIDE. It needs to be nurtured not beaten into shape. Rgds
