Guest guest
Human Beings are slaves and captive of their own Basic Instincts. The instinct to be Comfortable. Comfortable....Physically, Financially and Emotionally. And its so Simple to understand, if anyone wants to have control over the other...all that is needed is to " Intimidate " these three aspects of that living being. Intimidate and Take Control........ In Modern times, the ways to intimidate are: PHYSICAL intimidation thru TERRORISM FINANCIAL intimidation thru ECONOMY EMOTIONAL intimidation thru RELIGION. As human beings we are constantly striving hard not to fall prey of these ruling forces by various means.....we make Conservative ideologies, we make Liberal Ideologies......we make Communist or Democratic or Autocratic governments..........we make Socialist or Capitalist or mixed economies........and so on......But, we fail to understand this simple fact that its afterall supposed to be governed by Human Beings themselves, And, as long as we are slaves of these " THREE " ruling forces........no system can ever prove to be a foolproof solution. SO??? Simply........HUMANS need to work on their Self-created prisons of DEPENDENCY & COMFORT.......at all levels, PHYSICAL, FINANCIAL & EMOTIONAL. ONCE WE AGREE TO THIS, THE " REAL " SEARCH BEGINS...................................... AND the Answer to this " SEARCH " ends (or starts) at this point, which the name of this group suggests - (Sadhna need not always mean, sitting in a confined place and rotating beads....it has a much WIDER essence). Guest guest
In view of the interactions between Sudhakarji and Vishnuji, here am forwarding a mail below in which some PRACTICAL STEPS are discussed to save our Sanatan Vedic Culture. Hoping that it will be self explanatory.........we can then further discuss its pros and cons. (I hope that Mataji will have her consent for sharing this mail.) Regards, Anupam ----- Forwarded Message ---- Parama Karuna <xparamakaruna anupamshil Monday, September 22, 2008 11:18:16 AM tapasya Dearest Anupam, Thank you for your kind mail and for sharing your realisations. Human life offers the special opportunity to overcome the basic animal instincts through self-discipline (tapasya), search for knowledge (svadhyaya) and the conscious cultivation of a personal relationship with the Divine (isvara pranidhana). Fear is born from ignorance, and intimidation has no power over those who have become free from ignorance. Terrorism does not frighten us when we have realized we are not the body and we are not tied to the particular role that is determined by our body. We should always do our duty in the best possible way and be ready to die at any time. We need brave ksatriyas who are ready to die and kill in dharmic fights –making no prisoners. Violent evildoers should be killed on the spot, not disarmed. If they surrender, they should be banned, not jailed. Any aggressor who starts to attack with a dangerous weapon should be killed on the spot. Killing in self-defense should be encouraged even among common people. Thieves and cheaters should be punished by having to refund twice the value of what they stole, and similarly The knowledge of how to make weapons, as well as all other knowledge, should be subordinated to strict ethical teaching and testing. Unworthy people – that is, people who do not follow a solid moral code – should not be admitted to learn anything that can be used for negative purposes. Those who try to kill by poisoning or burning houses should be also considered as aggressors and poisons and fire treated like lethal weapons – unworthy people should not be allowed access to them. This is why in ancient times only initiated people could handle fire, medicines, and any potentially harmful substance. This Vedic system can be implemented even in today’s society by helping people who have the required guna and karma (although not fully developed) to be trained in MARTIAL ARTS, by which they can handle criminals (including the armed ones) without the need of using guns or similar weapons, and bring aggressors down without killing them but inflicting sufficient damage to teach them a good lesson. Together with the technical skills in martial arts, these Vedic Vigilantes should be trained in ethics, strategy and politics. We can defy financial intimidation by returning to the land in a self-sufficient village economy, cultivating the real values of life instead of consumerism and the vacuity of status symbols. We need to learn how to cooperate together and synergize our efforts, supporting and encouraging each other to step from theory to practice, and through difficulties. We can defy emotional intimidation by seriously studying spiritual and sastric knowledge and debunking the falsities that are spread around in the name of religion. However, in order to do all this, we need to sacrifice our comfort, our ego, our attachments, our material identification. These form the prison we must break.
