SOLAR ECLIPSE THE RELIGIOUS SIDE.

Venerable sadhaks specially seniors like

Babaji,Shantnuji,Jituji,Farahji,Ulaganathanji,and all others,

Friday is Solar eclipse. I am a medical man and I was taught that nothing

special happens to pregnant women and no other precaution for anyone else is

needed. Sun can not be seen directly with naked eye during eclipse or at any

other time. Hot solar rays burn retina of the eye even when there is no

eclipse.All including my family members insist on bathing in holy rivers,not

touching food special TANTRIC PRAYERS, talismans and charms wearing etc.

Kindly enlighten me the spiritual and  religious basis of beliefs of about an

 eclipse

I do not believe in release of poisonous gasses during eclipse,

as many claim.

 

I think the pranic energy coming from sun and which is directly

absorbed by us through our Surya chakra, gets disturbed during

eclipse. This phenomenon is more concerned with energy

disturbances than ritualistic views. The rituals may be another way

to tell common people to follow certain rituals to compensate for

the loss of energy / save from the ill effect of energy

disturbances, without going into details

Dear Aumji,

 

I feel maybe we can rethink on the 'disturbance of pranic energy'

aspect. Its said that during eclipse all one should do is 'some form

of god contemplation'. One reason could be, due to activation of some

malefic forces, agreed, thus the time becoming non-suitable for ANY

activities, whatsoever (all activities are usually carried in

anticipation of some benefit).

 

However, during this period the power of " god contemplation " is said

to increase MULTI-FOLD. This rather proves that the pranic force gets

a BOOST due to some etheric upheaval during eclipse, hence,

transforming this " time " as most ideal for sadhana.

Yes dear anupam, i agree with you. What i meant by pranic energy

disturbance is actually for all material / phsyical aspects.

 

This change in matrix of energy during eclipse is very good for

sadhna and any mantra chanted during eclipse gives manifold results.

 

Since i replied to swamy's question, which touched mainly material i
