OM NAMO NARAYANAYA

An individual`s mind takes the decision at a particular situation.

Mind is divisible into two parts 1) one that

controls, supervises, moderates, orders, inhibits bodily action. 2) The other part

detached from bodily functions seeks enlightenment, sadhana, spiritual

progress,prays,meditates, seeks,searches and ultimately attains .

SOUL is the junction of these two divisions of mind. Physically Soul is like

universe and atom. Soul is both Anda and Brahmanda. Soul exists all over the

body like force exists all through the universe. Soul can be pin pointed to a

single glowing point during meditation or sadhana. Or Soul can be assumed to be

spread all over the universe while not meditating.

Buddhi is the attribute of mind which permits clear thinking. Vivek is that

differentiated and higher quality of mind which discriminates between what is

sacrosanct and what is not. Buddhi makes a human,Vivek makes one ethical and

spiritual

1. Who takes the decision for a particular situation mind, intellect( Buddhi) or

soul?

A: The Mind provides the raw material i.e., thoughts....thoughts based on

recorded experiences. The Intellect acts as the filter i.e., selection of some

specific thoughts from the provided samples and then finally counting down to

select one/some thoughts to put into action.

The Mind (Thoughts) are a bundle of experiences recorded as a result of Prarabh

Karma (not getting into deeper analysis of the levels of mind) which is not in

anyone's control. Intellect (Buddhi) under influence of Ego selects among them

based on how much it is illuminated by " The Light of The Soul " ....this illumined

part of the Intellect (Buddhi) can be recognized as " Vivek " . Soul is the Torch.

It provides LIGHT to the whole process. The more the LIGHT, the more are the

ACTIONS directed towards TRUTH.

2. What is the difference between the Buddhi and Vivek?

A: Its already answered above.

3. Where does the soul resides?

A: There are various beliefs. I would prefer to accept the location as Naval.

Its the " point " through which Physical and Astral Body is connected....also

Mother and Child.
