Guest guest
OM NAMO NARAYANAYA Dear sadhaks - Pranams In today`s mail for sadhaks , I received quotable quotes from Shantnuji " there are no " prophets " coming to save a chosen few " " we start off as rocks, evolve to plants, animals then humans " " there are positive/negative forces fighting here. But that does not concern a Yogi " It is as though Shantnuji copied from my mind direct ! It is inaccurate for anyone to postulate that there are " chosen people " by God There are no " chosen books " by each prophet . The entire creation is by God. Evolution is dictated by God who created a desert , an ocean, a mountain and an environment for evolution. " Chosen ' things are like saplings growing under the ASHWATHA the greatest/biggest and the ONLY ONE.. Please permit me to modify the last quote " positive/negative as " positive/negative/neutral forces. A YOGI has a neutral force . He is neither happy nor unhappy, neither kind nor cruel , neither loves nor hates, neither rich nor poor, and so on. Yogi is in a state of BLISS Lord Krishna asks Arjuna and us to attain that state while doing our duty MAY THE LORD BLESS ALL ijswamy ~SWAMY http://gjnanaswarup.spaces.live.com/blog/

Will you tell what is the difference between Joy/happiness and Bliss ? (spiritually of course, not the dictionary meaning) Aum

(spiritually > of course, not the dictionary meaning) Aumji, joy/happiness come from outside- hence they are never really in our control(even though it may seem that way). What is happiness today may bring sadness tommorow(drinking, which gives momentary pleasure, gives pain in later years of life). The final & main thing of joy/happiness is- it is a part of the gunas which are always fluctuating, so it is never perfect & can vanish anytime. Bliss comes from inside- from the Pure spirit, which doesnt fluctuate, vary or change. Hence it is always there, as long as we are willing to stop identifying with the moving world. love Shantnu
Guest guest
OM NAMO NARAYANAYA Dear venerable sadhaks , Thank you all for your exciting ,erudite responses. Special regards to Aumji,Shantnuji and Sudhakarji. Joy /happiness as understood by me is a limited feeling of being well and satisfied. This feeling changes from individual to individual. For me making money gives happiness ,for someone else eating and drinking a lot gives happiness, and for yet another enemy`s sorrow gives happiness. We all know none of these is true happiness. Sin also is not according to human definition. Murder is a sin .But if a soldier in battle field kills an enemy it is not a sin.Enemy is not one against us but even one thought against Divinity.. BLISS is not just a subjective feeling. It is a state of being at peace with one self and God. Also I am in total agreement with Aumji when he says we " Evolve " from (God created) inorganic matter --- organic matter --- organism --- developed plant ---animal --- human --super human --- Divine being --- God ijswamy ~SWAMY http://gjnanaswarup.spaces.live.com/blog/ --- On Mon, 7/7/08, aumji <no_reply > wrote: aumji <no_reply > Exactly swamyji...i fully agree with your observation.
