Shirdi's Super Specialty Hospital at the service of the poorest of the poor

Shirdi:-- June 8 : It has been mentioned in the holy book Shri

Saisatcharitra that during his life, Shirdi's Saibaba rendered the services for

the sick people. He was giving the holy ash (Udi) to the sick people. It is

mentioned that all kind of diseases were cured. The same work of Saibaba is

being continued by board of trustees of Shri Saibaba sansthan trust, Shirdi.

6,094 heart surgeries are done successfully in one year in Saibaba sansthan's

Super Specialty hospital. This has become the big support to the poor people

including farmers, farm laboures, and workers in rural area.

Considering the need of poor people in the rural area, Shri Saibaba santhan

trust, Shirdi constructed the super specialty hospital with advanced machineries

and surgical equipments in the year 2006. The latest and advanced machineries

like C.T. scan and MRI machines of Siemens make company installed here. This is

fourth place in India where such machines are of high standards are installed.

The departments like heart, optholomological, eye, ortho, dental, plastic

surgery, general surgery, nuero surgery, etc department are functioning with

their full utilization that too with the satisfactory results. Angioplasty,

pacemaker, closing of body holes, B. M. V, bypass, change of heart flap,

treatment on heart diseases etc operation , in all 6,094 surgeries related to

heart patients are carried out successfully in one year. Dietitian operations

are also started. The expert doctors from Pune and Nasik perform these

operations here. The noted doctors Dr.

Anirudha Dharmadhikari, Dr. Manoj Chopra, Dr. Vinod Vijan, Dr. Abhaysing Walia,

Dr. Rahul Kaiche from Nasik use to come to Shirdi’s super specialty hospital

on every Saturday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Wednesday respectively. Dr.

Rahul Patil from Pune use to come to Shirdi on every Monday. In addition to this

Dr. Vidyutkumar Sinha is working as full time Cardiac surgeon. He has performed

604 open heart surgeries up til now. Dr. Harish Baj has performed 1322

operations of angiography, angioplasty and B.M.V. The patients are treated at

the most reasonable fees.

In addition to this, daily about 1000 patients are treated in Sainath Hospital

of Saibaba santhan trust. This hospital was started in 1964. About 200 patients

remain admitted daily. The patients of brain, kidney, cancer, bypass surgery get

the financial assistance up to Rs. 20,000 after submission of prescribed form.

Under this scheme, 26,037 patients have received total help of Rs. 36, 29,

24,148. This year, 5748 patients have received the financial help of Rs.

8,81,68,484. Sainath hospital is providing the medical services to the needy

patients on payment of nominal charges. The santhan has appointed the sufficient

doctors and nurses for the services of poor people. In view to get the proper

treatment, this hospital has purchased all kind of machineries. Considering the

increased number of needy patients, board of trustees has provided the advanced

machineries. This hospital is made more and more service oriented by providing 3

dialysis machines,

2 artificial respirators, line cure system for dental department, ultra sonic

scale, baby incubator, etc. This hospital also provided the Jaipur foots to the

handicapped persons and organizes eye checking and operations camps at the free

of cost.

Sansthan has also stated its own blood bank with all facilities. The blood is

given to the needy patients at the reasonable fees. All kind of laboratories are

established here. In view to make the availability of medicines, the medical

store is also started in the building of the hospital.

 

Shri Saibaba santhan trust, Shirdi spends Rs. 45 crores per year.

Heart specialist Dr. Dharmadhikari operated 47 patients of angiography,

angioplasty and installation of balloon in 24 hours in this super specialty

hospital and made the world level record.

 

In view to provide the maximum medical facilities to all kind of people,

especially the poor class people, Chairman of Shri Saibaba santhan trust and MLA

Jayant Sasane, vice chairman Shankarrao Kolhe, executive officer Kishor More,

medical director C. S. Bobade and medical superintendent Asha Pendase etc trying

to their level best. They all appealed the people having better financial

ability to donate generously to help more needy people. The interested Sai
