Dear Sudhakar and other who practice hathha yoga. One of my

colleagues has requested me to post this msg.

He is suffering from continuous gastric trouble and stomach

disorders. allopathy and ayurvedic medicines have not worked till

date. What Yoga do you suggest him for this. He is very little time

from his busy life to join regular yoga classes.

Since I have no knowledge of Hathha yoga, may i request a detailed

note on this

love always

Dear Aumji,

Namaste!

It would have been advantageous if you had told how your friend

looks like. i.e. if is thin, medium or large. Ofcourse the one

clue you have given is - " he has very little time from his busy

life to join regular yoga classes " .

Your question cannot be answered as " yes " , " no " , or " maybe " . I

have to give detailed and blunt reply so that the message will

seep into his mind properly. This is because i want results.

First thing is your friend in question is a " fast eater " . If he

denies this, he is lying. Second if he claims, " watch me eat and

if you find that in front of you he ate slowly then he is not

paying attention to how he eats " .

Gastric trouble is caused by too much worry, stress, eating when

not hungry and not chewing the food thoroughly and properly.

The least he can do is masticate the food thoroughly. He need not

count how many times he has chewed but every second morsel of

food should be put in the mouth only when the first morsel has been

thoroughly chewed and swallowed.

Since he is extremely busy let him to " APAN MUDRA " , starting with

2 minutes and then to reach a target of 45 minutes gradually in a

period of 3 months time. Then the mudra can be done at one stretch

or divided into 15 minutes in the morning, 15 in the afternoon and

15 at night.

This mudra will set right all stomach pains along with proper

mastication.

This mudra is formed by joining tips of the thumb, the middle

fingers and the ring finger and keeping other two fingers namely

forefinger and little finger straight with palms facing upward. It

should be done with both the hands and the palms should then be

kept on the respective thighs. He can watch tv while doing mudra

but no touching the " remote " . If he feels he cannot hold the mudra

for long and fingers keep slipping, then let him use women's hair

band to hold the mudra.

If he can find time to sit in vajrasana - the way muslims sit in

prayer, or the way Geisha girls sit while entertaining her guest

(after every meal for only 5 minutes - starting with 30 seconds

to 60 seconds and then reaching for 5 minutes target). Remember,

Vajrasana is the only asana which can be done - before meals,

during meals, and after meals.

Further before meals i.e. half an hour before meals if he can

consume 5 tablets/pills of NATRUM PHOS - 30X - biochemical remedy,

also called tissue remedy will set right his problem fast but

mind you all these are props only. The real goal is chew the food

thoroughly. Remember ANNAPORNA DEVI resides in the stomach. Let

him not abuse his stomach and treat it like a garbag box to dump

the food.

If still any doubt please ask.

With warm wishes,

Sudhakar

HARI OM TAT SAT! Cheers! :o)
