Guest guest
Dearest dear Priyaji , We are all saadhaks. We must hate 'HATRED " . Shantnuji gave you the ideal way of getting over hatred through meditation .Meditation surrounds your body with an aura that prevents any negativity from getting into your body and mind. You can help hasten the process by the simple logic. Can you hate a stranger? No. You can hate a person only if you loved him/her at least temporarily earlier. In that case why did you love him/her then. Answer it for yourself. If you loved a person once, what changed that situation now? Did you change the situation or did he/she/ ?If you changed the situatin please change yourself. If he/she changed it IGNORE the person. People in SAADHANA group must learn to hate hatred or any negative emotion. Guest guest
Blessed Self! Hari Om! To ignore the person who hates you is easier said than done. If that person does you a positive harm, besides hurting and mentally toruturing you, will it be sufficient if you just ignore him? At some point, we may have to take up cudgel against him. There are ever so many elelments out to harm the sadhus and persons who have a lot of sense of value. Should we ignore them or should we take up arms against them, as Lord Krishna wanted Arjuna to do? When do we do that? Or should we meditate even then? ulaganathan p " J.SWAMY IRAGAVARAPU " <jiragavarapu wrote: Dearest dear Priyaji , We are all saadhaks. If that ulaganathanji has raised a very valid point. Maybe Nature(Prakriti) wants us to fight- thats why she is giving us problems? Or maybe its just our ego problem? If we ever face difficulties(now I talking about general cases) where we may have to fight- how do we decide that we are fighting for our own ego, or because, like Arjun, Ma Shakti wants us to fight? Do the learned members have any ideas? love Shantnu
Guest guest
Shantnuji Pranams. Salutation to all Saadhaks- Many natural calamities are at least partially man made say like global warming, floods, fires famines diseases etc. Every civilized society fights and not only fights but equips itself with ready made machinery to fight these enemies. We hate a disease but we also know we are at some fault to allow the diseage to overwhelm us. Only our negative thoughts and actions permit a fire or a disease to spread. For such Prakruthic enemies we are the fighters but where is INDIVIDUAL HATRED ? There are individual difficulties like poverty, illiteracy, domestic violence, untouchability, dowry etc. We have to POSITIVELY AND COLLECTIVELY FIGHT these. In Arjun`s case Arjun never thought he had ENEMIES to fight. Arjun asked " How can I fight my Gurus, grand uncles, cousins and family members? " Lord Krishna had to explain in detail how Arjun`s own people were " enemies " of " Dharma " Arjun`s Dharmic enemies fully co operated with Arjun in Adharma`s defeat. Thanks Yours ijswamy shanracer <no_reply > wrote: ulaganathanji has raised a very valid point.

In the same way we fight diseases, or social injustices? But what about most people, who are unable to reach such states of dispassion(Vairagya)? love Shantnu

It is very important question being discussed 'Fight or not fight' I think as follows First of all we have to see the purpose of fight and who wants it. It is almost 100% that it is our ego which, somehow, feel hurt and want to fight. If it is ego's fight then hatred is surely there. Secondly, if Mother Nature wants us to fight She will make sure that we are fully equipped for the fight as in Arjun's case. He was told by Shri Krishna himself not to fight and wander in the jungles. There were two reasons for this advice, one that Pandav's had promised to do that and second, I think more important, that they were not fully equipped to fight the powerful enemies though adharmees. At that time Pandavs were alone and Kauravs, on their own, were strong and had many like minded friends to fight on their side. During that period of Vanvaas, Pandavs gethered the equipment as well as friends. Thirdly, we have to develop ourself upto the hight where God himself is standing by our side as Shri Krishna stood by the side of Pandavs. When it is Mother Nature's fight then we can not escape it. Rather, I put it this way, we will try to run away from fight but would not be able to do so. Jai Gurudev Pradeep
