Guest guest
Namaste, 1. Obviously the best way to develop Pran is via Pranayam, but these must be done in conjuction with Asan & Pratyahar(where one draws ones intention inwards, by closing the eyes, ears etc). There are many types of Pranayam as I have discussed previously, & are best learnt from someone who has been practicing them for years. 2. Through Mantra & deities- Kali is the Devi of Pran, & her sadhna gives overall control over Pran. Baglamukhi helps stop Pran completely(which helps in attaining Samadhi). Hanumanji, the son of Vayu, & Avtaar of Rudra(himself a personification of Pranic energy) is another great God who can help with Pran. The great strength & miracalous powers of Hanuman arise because he has complete control over his Pran. 3. Passive meditation, like concentrating on the sky, on the void, or at the interval between 2 things(like interval between breaths, thoughts, kriyas etc). Practicing mindfulness(ie doing everything with awareness) also develops Pran. Most Buddhist techniques like Vipassana, Zen develop pure Pran. 4. Nada Yoga, or listening to sounds arising from inside the heart(Babaji has written posts about this so I wont elaborate) also generates Pran. Not just that, but listening to uplifting music, or creating your own music boosts pran as well. This is almost concluding the series on Pran, Tejas & Ojas. One more section- one the importance of keeping these in balance remains. love Shantnu

I will post this weekend if I get time. Babaji has gotten a very busy post in India- he hardly has time to check internet-maybe once a week. He doesnt have internet at home, so cant check it over weekend. Although he could get himself transferred easily, he says he has left it to Ma shakti- maybe she wants him to work hard. We'll see what happens. love Shantnu
