Guest guest
Namaste! 1. Ojas is developed most through Brahmcharya, which maybe translated as control of sexual energy(not suppresion). Acc. to Ayurveda, Ojas is the key strength of the body, & too much sex weakens it in the long term. Note that this has nothing o do with morality, everything to do wth conservation of energy. 2. Bhakti Yoga- Bhakti Yoga is one of best ways to develop Yoga. This maybe towards God, Guru, or the Self. Bhakti Yoga also helps in Brahmcharya, as it transmutes sex energy into pure love. 3. Control of senses- this is useful not just fo Pran, but Ojas as well. This may mean avoiding most forms of cheap entertainment like serials, dramas, & even news(which is more drama than fact). 4. Right diet- A vegetarian diet of whole grains, rice, milk & dairy products, espcially Ghee, natural sugars like jaggery(Gud) or honey help develop Ojas strongly. love Shantnu

To develop ojas the first point you have mentioned, NOTE THAT THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MORALITY, EVERYTHING TO DO WITH CONSERVATION OF ENERGY. This fact echoes with what is said in Shiv Samhita, MARANAM BINDU PATEN, JEEVANAM BINDU DHARNET-meaning death if you loose bindu which means SEMEN and life if your conserve BINDU (semen). Does this mean if a male indulge in sexual act and helps the women to achieve orgasm - rather multiple orgasm and himself also achieves orgasm without spilling the seed(semen)- would this amount to increase in tejas as no semen has been lost - rather it is conserved in the body? Please take your time to answer. With warm wishes, Sudhakar HARI OM TAT SAT - Cheers! ) > Namaste! > > 1. But before I can answer the question, it is necessary to give some background to remove any mis-info anyone may have picked up. 1st- yes it is possible to have orgasm without spilling seed. This involves difficult Hatha Yoga technique called Vajroli, which itself involves putting a pipe in the genitals( 23 cm or more), & sucking liquids up, including at the end Mercury(treated to make it non-toxic). This itself requires complete mastery over all the muscles in the pelvic area, which may take years to achieve. Now compare this with what you Neo-Tantrics(also called American Tantrics, which tells you where this " Tantra " was invented) teach- their techniques can be learnt over just a weekend, by people who are fat & overweight. Most of these techniques are based on the Kama Sutra, as these Neo Tantrics, who had no proper Guru, never seem to realise the Kama Sutra is a Kama Shastra, while Tantra is a Moksha Shastra, & the 2 cannot be mixed up, no matter how similar they seem. I wrote this to make it clear how bullsh*t(pardon the language) what goes on in name of Tantra is, & what non-sense is printed by people who have a shallow knowledge of fields they claim to be experts in. With this background in knowledge, let me answer your question. Ojas is related to semen(or the sexual fluids in women), but that doesnt mean semen *is* Ojas. Semen in the gross form of Ojas. According to Ayurveda, the food we get gets converted to Plasma, or Rasa dhatu. The best part of Rasa(less than 10%) gets converted to blood, the best part of which gets converted to muscles, which changes to fat, then to bones, then to nerves, finally to semen. This semen hence stores the best part of the physical energy of food, which is why it is considered so valuable. Ojas is the subtle part of semen, that stores all our psychic & mental energy. Ojas, like I said, can be developed by other ways than Brahmcharya. So having sex with orgasm but not spilling the seed has no effect, as you are only saving semen, not Ojas which is used up anyway. The only way to save Ojas is to have sex without orgasm at all- which beats the whole purpose for most people. Why would anyone want to have sex without orgasms? Yet such a technique does exist in Real Tantra(not in American tantra which promises six orgasms an hour, like a factory machine). There is a whole science of subtle body energies behind it, can only be learnt from a Guru if interested(if you can find a Real Guru). love Shantnu PS- Bindu also means center of conciousness. Another definition in Hatha Yoga is that it refers to a specific chakra that exists at the back of the head where many Hindus have tuft of hair, & Yogis believe that this chakra stores Amrit or nectar of immortality. This Amrit is lost due to our outgoing mind, so to stop loss of Bindu is to turn our attention inwards. So you see the scriptures can be interpreted in many ways, & thats why a Guru is so much emphasised.

Thanks for lucid explanation though i said at the start it is just a clarification. I am not Neo-Tantric nor do i teach anything even remotely connected with this.
