Guest guest
The constitutional bedrock of these discriminations is Article 30, which accords to the minorities the right to set up and administer their own schools and colleges, preserving their communal identity (through the course contents and by selectively recruiting teachers and students), all while receiving state subsidies. This same right is not guaranteed to the majority.
Guest guest
The concept is like this. The reason for the political parties to raise the issues of minority reservations and so on, is for support. In simple words throwing baits for votes. Till this years the caste based minority system was raised in the recent years, " dalit christians " and " dalit muslims " this sort of religion based things are being raised. God only knows what the future holds. Many blame our constitutional system for the reservation model. But how many of them know that it was actually meant for 10 years when it the constitution was framed. Later the politicians kept extending them for the sake of votes form minority sector. The strange thing is, democracy is nothing but majority. Framing rules as per what majority of the people wish. But majority is limited only for voting and the rest for minority. It can be aptly termed as " Democracy is majority, for minority " As far as I know no promise or nothing has been made for the majority people. Each and every politician promises to do things for minorities. What about majorities?? The only solution for this is, All the majority people should set aside the differences between them and form a single political party to face the challenge of the minority. Guest guest
Dear Sripath , I totally agree with you. Statistics is irrelevant when it comes to reservations in legislatures, university admissions and government jobs. If 0.001%of Indians are pickpockets will they reserve one out of 1000 engineering seats for pickpockets? Minority statistics are unscientific. yours sincerely ijswamy sripathi sriharsha <sripathi1 wrote: The concept is like this.
