Guest guest
Monday, January 28, 2008 TEMPLE OF OUR PRIYAJANS HELP NEEDED TO REVIVE THIS TEMPLE You all know what a temple means to our Sanatana Dharma member. It is the seat of the Paramatman. It is the place of Bhakti Sadhana, Sankeertan, Bhajan, Dhyana and Pooja. The Hindu brother goes to the temple with humility, and prostrates in front of his Almighty surrendering his all at that instant- pure SaranAgati. Such temples have to be cared for by us all with total dedication since these very temples are the Dharma Kshetras (places of Righteousness) of Sanatana Dharma. I am pained and sometimes I am in tears when I see our ancient temples in ruins. The barbaric Mohammedians, and the satanic Christians saw to it that our temples decayed so that they can prey upon innocent Hindus. But now, times are changing and our brothers are taking up renovation of temples one by one. It is not only the bigger and old temples that need attention, but also the ones in poor people's localities.. It is our economically weaker brothers who are the fundamental trust holders of our Dharma and its six religions. Especially, our Harijan/ Priyajan brothers are the most helpless lot. Their temples are often only hundred square feet cubicles with no lighting and no proper pooja. It is the duty of every God loving Hindu to raise up and help his Harijan/ Priyajan brother. I know one temple in a Harijan colony in Athappa Gounder pudur, Irugur, near Coimbatore City in South India. This temple is dedicated to Sree Pattatharasiamman, the Kula devata of most Priyajans. Their colony houses about 400 families all belonging to priyajans. This locality is seeing intensive evangelizing and as a result, about a third of its population has converted to Christianity. Another cause of this problem is that the residents demolished their temple about three years back on someone's advice that the government will aid in building a new one. Till then it was a famous one attracting many people from far flung areas. I think this is the handiwork of those pentacostal missionaries who will go to any extent to convert. Now, after three years, all they got as government aid was Rs 25,000.00 with which a small cubicle for the sanctum was alone constructed. The rest of this very old temple is fully demolished which today presents a heart rending scene. In contrast, the Irugur area which was 100 % Hindu till about five years back, now has six churches one each for a denomination all with good attendance. The Sunday crowd on the street in Irugur consist only of Christians. The pentacostals, who are notorious, are active here , which is worrisome. Our Priyajan people now have erected four pillars for the front mantapa. For the roof and fencing they are in dire need. Myself and a few friends are working in this area and have started collecting funds for them. This is our first project. We need at least Rs 25,000.00 to help them construct this temple. Only material is bought since they volunteer their own labour. I now request all the Hindu brethren to raise to this occasion and donate whatever they can to take up this project and complete it. We have already distributed small booklets of devotional hymns and it was well received. There are many such areas and many more temples to help for at least one pooja a day. Some organisations are working for training pujaris in Chennai. To send someone for training we need funds. My email id is - apexpreci at gmail.com . Kindly mail me so that I can send you the account number where this money can be remitted. Once, we register a trust, we will open a regular website for this purpose. Remember, you are involving in saving Bharat from Christianization and you are placing your brick for a grand second Bhakti Movement which will sweep Bharat in the next decade and it will be so powerful that the whole world will be sucked into its vortex!
