I feel indebted to him who surrenders himself completely to Me and always

remembers Me. I shall repay his debt by giving him salvation. I belong to him

who thinks of Me, hungers after Me and does not eat anything without first

offering to Me. Leaving aside pride and egotism completely; you should surrender

to Me, who is seated in your heart.

May the Merciful Sri Sai Baba always shower His grace on us and our families and

remove our problems and anxieties by giving us all - strength , goodluck,

success and happiness with peace of mind.

Not that I have less faith. Recently a tragedy has occured in Nasik. Some

devotees of Sai Baba who travelled in a bus fell into a gorge and died. Why did

Sai Baba allow this to happen? This thought has crossed my mind.

Could some one throw light on this?

ulaganathanji, this is the biggest myth- that just because you take a

bit of Gods/Gurus names, goto temple now & then, that you will never

die. If it were so simple, all the Rakshasas would have become

immortal by now.

Praying to God doesnt change our Karma- if it did, the Pandavs would

never had to roam about in jungles, face continous humilation, Jesus

Christ and Krishna himself wouldnt have died violent deaths. If God

couldnt save himself, why would he save other people?

Besides, God doesnt like business dealers- " I will pray everyday, in

return you make me rich, happy, ,long living etc " .

God provides us with support, but doenst fight our wars for us,

neither does he interfere in our karma.

hi......

i was too, thinking abot that tragedy .....but you see,

everything happens for a reason....mayb there is a reason behind this

aswell....God died for us ...so we cod have a better life....have you

ever thought something...we always seem to pray to god to make our

lives better, give us more money, make us happy but do we ever thank

him for what we have ....we always seem to be greedy ....even though

gods been so kind to us ...but we still seem to be greedy...nothing

seems to be enough for us.........

god provides us with support to help us win our wars ...he doesnt

fight for us becoz he knows we are capable of fighting them

ourselves...

you no after writing this mail i seem to feel so greedy .....becoz i

always seem to ask god for evrything.....and you no its weird how i

realised my mistake while writing this mail......

may god bless you .....

p.s - its my first time writing a letter like this so plzzz excuse

the mistakes......

Shanji,

I am in full agreement with you.

I just want myself to ask, before blaming god, why god

should help me? What I have done to please him and he

is pleased. If I do for his pleasure, whether it is for

my pleasure indirectly?

Faith on god is faith on self, and if I blame god for

something, Its very clear to me that the blame is

ultimately on me.

Blessed Self,

I agree God has His own ways which cannot be comprehended by the human

intelligence. There is a suggestion that the direction that our karma takes us

cannot be altered, even by our god or guru. I wonder if destiny works in a such

a drastic and cold fashion. If so, is there no place for 'grace' in the scheme

of things of God? Is there no divine intervention at all? Has not God intervened

in the life Markandeya or Prahlata? Even Sai Baba is said to have intervened to

save some of the devotees from the impending danger? Possibly, they were all

devout souls, deserving the 'grace' of Him and perhaps those who met with the

tragedy near Nasik were not fortunate enough to have the 'grace' to stop the

course of destiny.

Sir ji

i think God listen our problems and it depends upon our Shradda. if

we do not have any Shraddha and we are praying by voice only than it

is difficult for the God to accomplish all our desire

secondaly sometimes our Karmas are in such a way that Death is

better than living , so Lord gives us death for our goodness .

Hence please try to understand the God , and never loose faith in My

Sai Baba .

Yes may be the depth of faith is prime motivation.

Grace is given, but by its very definition it is conferred rarely, &

not as a matter of course. Grace is not a right- you cannot demand it,

order it, even expect it. It is given but rarely, & there is no

criteria for it.

Great people like Markendya may have got it, but sinners like Paul(who

hated Jesus & was going to attack his followers, before he had a

vision & became a Christian himself), Valmiki(a bandit who robbed &

murdered many people), Tulsidas(a highly sensous man) also got it.

Other great men like the Pandav brothers, Mahatma Gandhi got little or

none, & strugled all their life. But they became great inspite of it.

And why do you think people dying is such a " such a drastic and cold "

action? Is death always a bad thing? Maybe there were to suffer more,

but had their bad karma cancelled by death? As such, they got grace,

just not the way expected.

Grace follows no human logic, & to do Sadhna expecting it as a right

is a sure way to lose it.

love

Shantnu
