Aumji is right. You have to go to the past issues to read about it but in the meantime the curiosity in the mind is not satisfied so here goes my explanation. We all human beings are spiritual beings having human experience as somebody rightly said. Besides bones and glands and blood our body is full of electricity and music. Ofcourse with your remark for scientific explanation it is little difficult. So let me put it this way. If you have seen cartoons they show villain being hammered and around his head what is shown is twittering of the birds and stars. The bird sound is the whistle you are hearing and if you meditate stronger and gets concentrated then you will see light. These exists in every human beings. Ofcourse doctors or scientist will argue that if you dissect a human being there is no light and sound. For this only explanation that can be given is if a person is slapped hard enough he will see light in front of his eyes and will also hear buzzing sound. It is quite possible if the slap is very hard the person can die too. Anyway for this whistling sound if you go to ENT doctor he will refer it as TINNITUS AURIUM and give some medicine or perhaps ask for surgery. Ofcourse it is advantageous to go to a Homeopath and get it treated though honestly the meditation technique involves hearing of various sounds and the starting sound you hear is a whistle. It is up to you to consider this as a blessing or curse. Hope this satisfies your curiosity about the sound in your brain. With warm wishes, Sudhakar HARI OM TAT SAT! Cheers! ) te: > this group is ... > > from last 2 yrs.i am hearing very strenge sound from my brain.... > > it's like wistle ... > > > Dear saurabh, thanks for joining and i am sure you will be benefitted > by reading the old msgs. > > There is a good discussion on Anhat Naad ( the sounds heard during > meditation). Guest guest
Dear Saurabh, I also have the same sound for at least 10 years now. First, I thought it is in my ear and went for medical check ups. Even in London, doctors could not find anything wrong. So, there can not be a scientific explaination to this. I think, it is due to some super-natural reasons. Guest guest
my grand mother was a simple household lady and was devoted to sri ram for whole of her life. she spent her life in simplicity and as she turned older she lost her hearing capabilty. But soon after she started " hearing " only some beautiful bhajans on sri ram contineusly and she used to tell us that i can not hear anything from external world but only those clear bhajans within. she used to tell us that these bhajans were so clear with lot of music and she wished we could also hear those extraordinary sounds. she used to cry with those sounds and those bhajans she had never heared or sung in her life when she was capable of hearing external sounds. she told she was blessed after lsing her hearing capabilities as these contineous bhajans brings her more peace and calmness. she remained inquisitive as how it could happen and ultimately she died hearing these beautiful bhajans what it could be? hope i can have the answer to the quetion of my grandmother. Dear Saurabh, for god and god related things scientific explanation can not be given because spirituality starts where science stops. If you are searching for a scientific / medical answer only a doctor can give. But this whistling sound may be either a spiritual phenomenon or a medical problem... so first try the medical one. normally this whistling sound is generated in the mind when one's chakras are becoming activated and the Prana start flowing fast so it sounds as whistling or a buzzing sound. So it may be due to your last birth's meditations, if you did not do in this birth. hyper-activity of Prana generates such sounds. After you are satisfied it is not medical... try chanting Aumm and see if this sound increases in intensity then it is a spiritual phenomenon. Doing Nadi shodhan pranayama will balance the excess activation of prana, so try that and see if the sound is becoming feeble. (About Nadi shodhan pranayama you will find technique in previous messages) with love Aum

I am very cynical by nature. If you are not practicing any of the techniques and are hearing these sounds, I will check with some expert physician to rule out some major physical problem. I user to hear sounds, then I found that I was loosing hearing in one year due to a minor stroke. A friend of mine was hearing this deafening sound, then a found a tumor in his brain, after surgery he is not hearing these sounds. I apologies in advance if I am insulting your sensibilities, then again I have not advanced in spiriatulity. Deep
Guest guest
Dear Ravi, Thanks for your message. 1. The sound has nothing to do with environment. The only thing is that I feel the sound more in silent environment. 2. It is not irritating. 3. I listen less from right ear. Incidentally, the whistling sound is heard more on the same side and that's why I went for medical check ups. Guest guest
Dear Pradeep, Temporal lobe of human cerebral cortex is very sensitive. It can be stimulated with sounds of lowest frequency and lowest intensity. This is because of human evolution. Even lowest animals like lizards frogs etc make sounds though they don`t have any other human faculties. It is possible for human temporal cortical cells in brain to be excited by very minimal changes in electrical potentials of brain cells or auditory nerves. As such erratic excitation occurs in people who practice meditation, prayer etc its`s common among devotees . As sounds like visual images are stored in brain ,some hear sounds like OM , RAM etc while in or out of meditation. Such sounds are naturally better appreciated in silent environment as no other external sound disturbs it. Such exciting sounds are also heard among epileptics before an attack of fits as temporal cortex is initially excited. Very deep meditators who lose contact with external environment also hear such sounds. Some deep meditators permanently lose contact with external world and live in a world of their own. Such people are misinterpreted as mad people or Schizophrenics. Most Schizophrenics give a history of " Auditory hallucinations (hearing sounds without an external source) " . I am not frightening you but I feel you have gone to a higher level of conscience and so need a very very competent GURU for further guidance. ,May God bless you! I am a doctor. yours ijswamy pradeep8_56 <no_reply > wrote: Dear Ravi, Thanks for your message. 1. The sound has nothing to do with environment.
