Guest guest
Jai Sri Ram, Friends, Please look into the wikimapia site http://www.wikimapia.org/ I recently searched for Kalady - Sankara's birthplace and found obscene comments about a Shiva temple on the banks of river Periyar. Some evengelist had named it ' Penis God temple' purposefully and had written obscenity in the comment box. I request all who have time to register to wikimapia at the above site and then log onto holy places near your town. If they are vandalized, you can edit that, once you are registered. Venkatji, I found same things in Wikepedia- statements like " Hindus claim this without any proof.... " , to which I wrote What proof do christians/Muslims give? At one page on Sahasra Chakra, a follower of Mata Nirmala Devi had written " Mata is only one in history to have opened this chakra " . I found this bit unbelievable, & tried to remove it, but got into a revert war with her followers, who called me fanatic. Now Ive given up- there are too many places to check. Also, many people who vandalise these pages have nothing better to do- they usually do it again in 5 minutes after you fix it. My approach now is- Wikipedia, Wikimap etc are unreliable, never trust them.
