Guest guest
When ever we speak about karma - cause for an individual's fate which is sealed at birth I always think of KARNA & KRISHNA . Why was Karna born to Kunti ( without physical contact of Sun god )? Why did Kunti was shamefull to reveal Karna as her son by the gift of Sun god? Why did Kunti leave him float in the riverboat? Why did Drona refused to teach him & why did Parasurama teach him and take away the skills ( cursing him )? [i believe the noble souls like drona or parasurama should have know the birth secret of Karna ] Why did the bee bore Karnas thigh and from that bleeding parasurama woke up and cursed Karna??? ( Karna offered his lap as pillow to save time and to serve his guru) Why did Kunti kept mum when Karna was denied the chance of fighting with Arjuna during a completion at gurukul? ( Karna was rejected coz he was not considered a shatriya ) WHY DID DHURYODHNA OFFER KARNA THE LAND TO RULE? Before the Khurshetra war why did Krsna propsed Kunti to reveal the hidden truth to Karna? Why did kunti get promise from Karna not to kill rest of the four pandavas? Why did Lord Indra trick to get the KavachaKundal from Karna? Why did Karna oversighted the words told about this trick to him by his father Sun in his dream? Why did Karna used the sakthi weapon against Gadothgaza instead of Arjuna? Why did Karna listen to his charrioter's comment about his aim while using Nagastra? What made Karna to behave unshathriya act while killing Abhimanyu? What made him to kill the cow of a bramin and end up with another curse which was the instrumental for his death? WHY DID KRISHNA ADVISE DROUPADI TO REFUSE KARNA DURING THE SWAYAMWARA? WHY DID KRISHNA ASKED DROUPADI TO USE THE WORD HE IS NOT A SHATRIYA? ( THE RULE WAS SIMPLE DROUPADI NEEDED NO REASON TO REFUSE ANY ONE, BUT KRISHNA MADE HER TO REFUSE WITH A REASON!!!!). What made Karna say droupadi needs no queens or princess treatment coz she was a wife to five and can be treated as whore?????(ego? Revenge?) Karna was, is, and will be the most generous person and will be remembered for his generosity ( even Krsna accepts this while talking to Arjuan ) when Krishna and Arjuna were engaged in a conversation, Arjuna told Krishna, " Krishna, everyone speaks highly of Karna's generosity although I also give people whatever they want " . Krishna agreed with that and said " Yes, but no one can surpass Karna in his generosity " . Krishna realised that Arjuna was jealous and told him that he would hold a contest and Arjuna could see the truth for himself. The next day Krishna created two mountains, one of gold and the other of silver. Then Krishna told Arjuna " If you can distribute these two mountains before dusk then you are equal to Karna " . Arjuna boasted that he could do that easily. He went on breaking the mountains into small chunks and started distributing it to one and all. Although he worked very fast, at dusk there was more than half of the mountains left. Arjuna then called out to Krishna. Krishna appeared and said, " Arjuna, it is already time but still so much is left. If it was Karna, he would have done it long back " Arjuna retorted " Don't praise him unnecessarily. I can prove that he too will fail in the test " . Krishna then called Karna. Karna bowed before Krishna. Krishna said " Karna, can you distribute these two mountains before night? " Karna said " Why not? If you order so " . He then called two people who were passing that way and said " Here are two mountains of gold and silver. I give in alms one to each of you. Carry it and become rich " . The two men were thrilled and said, " Hail Karna! " . Karna then told Krishna, " I have done your work in no time, I hope you are satisfied " . Krishna then called Arjuna and said, " I'm sure you understand now why Karna is praised for his generosity " . Another instance : when Karna was about to bath after his oiling the body, a bramin approached him for biksha, immediately Karna took the Golden bowl with the oil, which was on the left to him and gave it to the bramin with his left hand. The bramin questioned karma, is it right to give biksha in the left hand?? Karna replied there was only Silver bowl near to my right hand and you being bramin deserve the Gold than the silver so I gave the Golden bowl to you!! I appologise but this was the intention and nothing else. The last instance of his generosity: At the death bed Karna was approached by yet another old man ( Krsna himself in that form ), and asked for biksha, Karna says he has nothing to offer him at this very time of death and asked the old man to go to his wife, she would give the oldman what he wants. But the old man with a smile say you have almost lost your life and you have nothing to give to me, why donot you give me all the good deeds you did in this birth? Karna was taken aback. He immediately took his bow and arrow with what ever strength he had and aimed at the cloud above and shot, it rained, he collected the water in his hand and poured it into the hands of the oldman and gave all his good deeds. Then Krsna showed his viswaroopa to Karna. OH! KARNA THE GREAT, I ADMIRE YOU ALL ABOVE THE PANDAVAS, EVEN ABOVE ARJUNA WHO WAS CHOSEN BY KRSNA TO GIVE THE WORLD THE GITA!!! The life of Karna and the way Krsna trick and targets karna for the pandavas victory is a clear example of Karma/Maya. The good deeds performed in the current life might confer the benefits in the next birth but are of little use in the current life.
