naa yavat Umanath padarvindam bhajante loke bhajepe Naranam

 

Till the time the people dont serve the lotus feet of the husband of

Parvati, they get neither peace and bliss in this world and nor are

thier sufferngs vanquished. So o lord who resides in the heart of all

living beings be happy with me

 

Naa janami yogam japam nev pujam naa toham sada sarvada Shambhu

tobhyam

jara janma dukhoka tatadyamanam prabho pahi apanan nami Shiv Shambhu

 

I know neither yog, nor jap and i dont even know how to worship O

Shambhu i always pay my obesiances unto you

o lord i am burning with the sufferings of old age and death , please

protect this suffering and aggreived person

o ishwar o Shambhu i pay my obesiances to you

This ashtak of Lord Shiva for his stuti/praise and making him happy

was recited by brahmana, those who chant it with love and devotion

with them is pleased lord Shiva
