Guest guest
.... maata told her that her husband was on his way home and instructed her to keep a bundle of wood there. Then she said " go to home and wait for him, when he comes say- 'give me water in a piece of coconut, give me bread made of hay' as you say daily. The devotee relented and happily went away. So when the husband was passing by he felt tired and saw the bundle of food.He felt tired and rested thier awhile, feelng hungry he used the wood to cook some food for himself.Soon afterwards he reached his home and while he was meeting his parents the wife came and spoke as maata had told her to. The husband was startled and moved to see her wife's condition. He rebuked his family and decided to stay in an empty part of the house with his wife. When her vraata was over the woman kept a worship in her house w.Some jealous family members had told the kids to ask for sour thing to eat.The woman refused the kids but they insisted for money. She gave them money and they bought sour thing to eat with that. Upon this Santoshi maata became very angry. Soon the kings soldiers came and arrested the womans husband. She went to the temple and said: " O mother have mercy upon me.I worshipped you " she cried Maata said: " you served sour food and did so unknowingly. But this is also a fault " She requested maata for another chance. Maata was pacified and said: " go to your home and be careful that no mistake happens again " When she went home her husband had come back and everything was fine again. She performed the worship again and this time she was careful so kids of her relatives asked her for something sour she declined and invited others children to the worship. Time went by and she had a child by grace of maata. One day maata appeared at the threshhold of her house to give her darshana. As soon as the mother in law saw maata she started shouting: " O who is this witch or dakini " But the devotee at once recognised maata. With tears in her eyes she started towards the door saying : " o my mother has come " She feel at Maata's feet. Mother said: " I thought you hadnt visited since some time so I came over to your house to meet you " such is the love of mother JAI MAATA SANTOSHI
