Jagdamba Mata !

In rigveda (mandal 10, 125th shloka) devi says – I am the Universe

and its controller. I am the one who arranges results of karma. I am

the one who gives comforts. Although I am one, but I am seen as

many. I wage wars to save humanity and to bring peace on earth. It

is me who makes earths and dev-lokas. I work on my own wishes. I

am completely free, no one controls me. I am 3 gunas and all

tattwas, but still beyond them. "

 

So like Jagdamba says, we live inside Jagdamba. Our very

existence is based on her. It is she who inspires good persons to

do good things and it she who incites bad people to bring

destruction. She works through us.

 

To manifest this Jagdamba divides herself in two (apparent)

parts. One part looks towards God, the pure consciousness and the

other looking away from him. One is called vidya and the other

Avidya.

 

Vidya's intentions are to merge back into god and to take all beings

towards perfection and final merging into her and finally into

god….whereas Avidyas work is to take all beings away from Source and

keep human beings entangled in all those work which can take them

away from Truth.

 

This division of Jagdamba is necessary as Universe can manifest

only if two opposite poles exist. Two equal forces working on each

other bring the equilibrium in this universe. She does this for her

eternal bliss…because her very nature is manifestation.

 

Both Vidya and Avidya are parts of jagdamba…. So all in the universe

is Jagdamba. A sinner is sinning due to Jagdamba's wish and and a

virtuous is doing good due to her… There is no Evil no Demon no

Satan in the world…..all is Jagdamba.

 

This vidya shakti is the force who is worshipped by us as Durga,

Bhavani, kali etc as this force destroys the demons in us and takes

us towards the Truth. Avidya is actually inferior to Vidaya, and

works under her supervision. So those who worship Jagdamba's Vidya

swarup are not affected by Avidya and her various lower energies.

 

So let us worship Jagdamba, on this Navratris as following :-

 

Hey Mother Jagdamba… you are eternal primodal energy. You are

the source of this Universe. It is your shakti which is manifesting

in all forms and names. Your younger daughter Avidya is putting all

humans, devas and asuras in illusion and they forget you…and enjoy

the perishable comforts of this world

 

O Mother! But when we worship you as eternal mother and surrender

ourselves to you, then you remove all our darkness and open our eyes

towards the Truth…..even if we may be forgetting you… but you keep

waiting for your children to look towards you and the moment they

come to you, you start raining your love on them
