Why does Krishna say this.....

In the Gita he says,

" I am nobodys friend, neither am I anyones enemy. I do not hate, or

love anyone "

So how can we do Bhakti, if God is not our friend or enemy, just some

neutral entity?

God is neither friend nor foe of anyone, BECAUSE " ANYONE " other than

him does not exist.

So, what speciality is in Devotee. See always god Is the shower of

mercy, and when showing his mercy he is equal to everyone, and give

his mercy as we ask.

So if we ask for more mercy, he gives more.

now The process of askign is what matters, We can ask in many ways,

and in different quantities,

How much quantity we can ask, is limited by our ability. So Baktha

has a relation of Love with Lord, He is FOND of LORD, and hence love

is infinite, quantity has no restrictions.

Process of asking, there are many, but Bakthi i feel bext because we

dont ask fro proof of his manifestation nor question him, and Readily

accept him, in case of Bakthi. So it is best.

third, Lord reciprocates, and is the one who is qwithout debts. Measn

when Devotee Loves him, he loves his devotee, this is just

reciprocation. When a devotee Resides himself in Lord, Lord Resides in

Devotees Heart.

So what happenns to Gnani, Gnani Resides in The Knowledge dwefined by

Lord, and hence Lord For a Gnani Resides in the Knowledge he aqquires

and so o0n ..

So did you get though The Lord is equal in Mercy to all, how a devotee

gets on the fast lane .

Hoep my words have helped you my Dear Brother.

Kumarji, It means God doesnt play favouritism, nor does he have

enemies or take revenge.

This is compared to Semitic religons, where they say God strikes down

those who go against him.

God is purely neutral- if we do Bhakti, or meditation, or do good

Karma, he will give us result of that karma. If we do bad, we will get

bad results. But God doesnt judge us.

But we can never think that since we have started Bhakti, God will

take care of all our problems- no. If our Tapas is strong, & we ask

God for something, he will give it to us out of that Tapas, but not

because we claim to be his greatest Bhaktas.

Even though God is no ones friend, he can still have a special

relationship to everyone, whereby he reciprocates the feeling we offer

to him.

Since God in Hinduism is our own Real Self, loving God means loving

your own Real Self, not some outside entity. Since its the same

Spirit(or God) in everyone- how can that Spirit take sides?

Shri Krishna has told here a great secret of cosmos. and it is

specially for Bhaktas. I have seen some people doing bhakti and

expecting god to reciprocate with all good in life. One of my

relative became enemy of god when his young son died.

Shri Krishna here wishes to say that People should not think that if

they are doing bhakti, god will save them from bad karma results.

God is silent spectator of this manifestion. He does not confer

special favors to his bhaktas. We get the result of our own bad

karma, and we can dilute them by our Tapas. God has nothing to do

with our Karma.

If god had wish to change karma of his bhaktas, Krishna' parents

would not have been jailed. His best friends Pandavas would not

have suffered so much, his sakhi Draupadi would not have been

insulted in court.

I would say rather, God brings out bad karma of his bhaktas and

make them sufffer and thus be purified.

Narad was his greatest bhakta, but vishnu gave him a monkey's

face to go to a swayambara. God did not want Narad to be in

domestic life and have a wife. For his benefit he gave him monkey

face and all mocked at him

Till we are not into Nirvikalpa samadhi, our karma's chain will

continue binding us. We should not expect god to favor us and kill

our enemies.

In gita he gave this secret, when he told that he would not

bring his army to fight Mahabharat on Pandava's side and he himself

would not take up weapons. This is secret of Mahabharat!!

God does not take weapons for his bhaktas. He just shows them the

way by becoming their charioteer...but we have to fight our war

ourselves under his guidance

If in your heart you always think he is your friend, then he will also

reciprocate the same.

Just like arjuna did.

Also Just like Kamsa did... he always thought Krishan to be his enemy,

and Krishan manifested and made a leela as his enemy...

but important is assosiation, all of them including kamsa was

delivered.
