Guest guest
In some post Babaji wrote " there are no brakes or riverse gear in sadhna " . In another post somebody wrote, on Vipin's story, that he must have thrown down from sadhna for some big fault in last births. Now, i will explain my position - I do pranayam, jap and meditation regularly, though not able to devote a lengthy spell daily. Many times, I have visions also. My problem is that for 2-3 days I will have good meditation, visions etc. And then, everything gone i.e. even i am unable to meditate (though I sit and try it). Then I will have some physical problem or mental tension for some days. And suddenly, i will have good meditation and even have visions also. Could anybody explain what it is all. Guest guest
It is the desire in you that raises, and when reaches threshold , you are no more able to meditate. again when the desire is fulfilled, you get back and again, on increasing desire of fulfilling this desire , you break out... am i right ? is this the problem u are facing.. ? If So, There are two ways of dealing with this. . . one is simply enjoy the desire as got by you, until a point when this very object feels very rudimentary and you no more desire for this objects. ELSE. If you are blessed, and you can get that pure love for Hari, or Narayana, Or Krsna or whatever you call him, Than when in mode of sattva. when in emotional about hari, there comes a small interval of time, very minute when your brought out request is fulfilled... and at this exact point , if you aks hari, when connected in this way, to make you free of this desire, than you are free AT ONCE. Hari is the ultimate one who have to grant all capabilities, and show you the truth, with and only with His will, you can achieve.. many knowledge reserved for higher beings, many knowledge formidable and so many more things... just by concentrating and contemplating and truly devoting yourself towards hari, all this and more is got in a matter of seconds. -- Deito Harirnama Harirnama Harirnama Kevalam. , pradeep8_56 <no_reply wrote: > > In some post Babaji wrote " there are no brakes or riverse gear in > sadhna " . Nothing stays the same, everything moves, changes, evolves - the weather can be so calm & peaceful & then suddenly the winds pick up & there is a downpour of rain, before it settles & is calm again. This is often how the spiritual path can be for many - maybe some people have more consistency, I'd be interested to hear, but sometimes its like Im surfing the waves with skill & precision - & then from nowhere Im thrown into the sea & have to battle to rise to the surface. Maybe we have the same character - I usually find nothing comes easily to me, I usually have to struggle for things & this spiritual path is no different. Look at it this way - if it were all easy, smooth & simple, wonderful experiences, visions, out of body experiences every day - there would be no contrast, you would not have to struggle for any of it & you might not appreciate it when it was good, you may cease to pay attention & then how would you learn? Its good to struggle a bit - it will be the making of you in the end. Enjoy your struggles, welcome them - every one is an opportunity to learn & grow. What do they say - God sends his hardest lessons to his best students? If it wasn't certain that you could cope well with these struggles, they would not be sent for you - tailor made & made to measure my brother. Wishing you positive outcomes in all your struggles - & when you do struggle, come here & share them with us, there will be many in the same struggle. Guest guest
> mental tension for some days. But destroying the bad Karma releases lot of good Karma, which gives the Sadhak visions, darshan of his Ishta Devtaa. But this good Karma then release lot of bad karma underneath it, & so the cycle continues till all Karma, good & bad are destroyed. Only then can we get enlightenment. The Vedic Rishis said there is a long night before the Sun of Wisdom dawns. Hence they worshipped the Night of Ignorance, called Ratri, as they believed only by going through night of ignorance can we see light of day. love, Shantnu
Guest guest
I think shanracer's explanation is good. like we have days and nights we have ups and downs in sadhna. Does it continue till enlightenment then? ansuya >

In physical world we may see it as downfall..but actually there is no downfall from Sadhna. When we are suffering we are actually making faster progress, internally of course. Shri Aurobindo once visited gallows with Sir Philip sydney... a condemned criminal was being taken for hanging when sir sydney told aurobindo - there goes sir philip sydney without grace of god... he is being hanged ..and i have been given title by Queen... what is the difference between me and him....just god's grace. Shri aurobindo interrupted - No sir you are wrong.. i would say there goes Sir philip sydney with the grace of God. You are using your good karma on these comforts...and that man is being purged by God of his sins... so has the grace ?? Shanracer has given the correct explanation.. when we do some sadhna.. positive energies are created..which start working on negativity earned during this birth or last... when the negativity is being annulled.....we say we are not making progress because the energies are working inside.. And this cycle continues until we are enlighted... (are you listening ansuya ??) Aum

Then you may loose your focus and get swayed even so much that you might not even remember anything of your sadhna. Similarly for a few days one may become very foccussed on meditation or whatever one does and then there are temporary lapses. Sometimes it seems that we are responsible ourselves for them, sometimes it seems that even if we try we arent able to do it >I believe that its all in the mind.Maybe its our state of mind which keeps reacting time and again like the chain of karma

So take them in a positive light and work upon them. All the best
Guest guest
In other words we can say.... that when we are running ourselves we think we are making progress and when we are tired,Mother takes us in her lap ....and keeps running. we think we are not running, but we are then running with the Mother...towards the progress AUM
Guest guest
This is very natural. Sadhna is a like a wheel which goes up and down and it can not be avoided. The best thing is to continue and when you dont feel like meditating, do some mantra japa or sankirtan jai maata ki
