Guest guest
Dear brothers & sisters Its the first day of october & I feel its time to celebrate this wonderful site. There were 1,187 posts last month - the most ever! The most we have ever had up to now was in October 2001 with 520 posts. There has been real sudden increase in activity here just recently. What are your thoughts on this & what do you enjoy about this site that keeps you coming back again - some of us on a daily basis?! I have to say there are many things about this site that keep me coming back. When I first joined, I felt like I was in a rather intimidating, serious important meeting room full of gurus, holy people & long standing saadhakas - & maybe I might be laughed at for asking a question & being seen as the one who 'didnt know.' But this was just my fear talking to me - all that negative mind talk that we all have from time to time. Now Im still amongst the same people - its just not intimidating any more & certainly isn't like being in a 'serious, important meeting room,' but more like a welcoming satsang where anyone is welcome to sit on the cushions & join in. I sometimes get a little disheartened by the criticism & finger pointing that goes on, but last night I looked back on the first posts from 2001 (particularly on Moksha) & it was going on back then - we're all human at the end of the day. We're all here to bounce off eachother, share & learn... Sending you much love & good wishes for more sharing & much learning Farah

And the credit goes to you and all others who have joined and made this group lively. If we just ignore 1% disturbing posts, the biggest chunk of posts were quite informative. I learnt a lot from this club and i am sure you all have the same. Once again i congratulate all our sadhakas and request them to keep this alive with their questions/answers/suggestions. Please do not forget to invite your friends to take part in this Satsang With regards to all sadhakas here AUM

Ive been to a dozen other groups- either they are dead, or they have " My guru is great, so is mine, good then " type of messages. One club I went to had 2000 messages a month, but most were people talking to themselves. I posted a question, but got no reply for 4-5 days. Here, if you post a question, & come back next day, you can find at least a dozen answers. And all the disagreements we've had were actually good, as many points got cleared. Its better than each one posting his own opinions & ignoring others, or 2-3 people chatting with each other, which is what happens in most clubs. As everyone knows by now, there are no gurus, no sacred subjects we cant touch, so feel free to post on anything spiritual! love shantnu
