FROM THE SATSANGHS OF SAIBANISA JI http://www.angelfire.com/celeb2/saidarbar/pages/S3500055.htm Compiled by: Sai Sevak Smt. Rajeswari Kasturi, Saidarbar – Hyderabad. Shirdi Sai’s Philosophy in the words of Saibanisaji Sai is both father and mother to the people of the world. For sixteen months after a child is born the father and mother have to speak to him in babyish words; then gradually they reach him to speak as an adult. Like earthly parents, Sai first takes care of the people and then leaves them to the care for themselves. He first brings things to pass according to their desires and then He brings them to a peaceful and safer shelter. What Sai preaches in His language, people receive and assimilate in their own language as if it were intended exclusively for them. In an epidemic He appears as a healing physician and in war He preaches for forbearance and mercy for the suffering people; for those who believe that things are everlasting, He preaches transience and uncertainty; for those who are proud and egoistic, He preaches humility and self-sacrifice; for those who are entangled in the web of worldly pleasures, He reveals the misery of the world. Om Shantih Shantih Shantihi Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu To be continued… --------------- 2. SAI IN DREAMS: http://www.ettitudemedia.com These are the dream sequences and messages as received by SaiBaNiSaji From our beloved GURU LORD SAINATH OF SHIRIDI. In Anticipation that this feature will help in one's spiritual growth are hereby compiled from his personal Diary and presented to SAIBANDHUS. Translated and presented by RAGHU RAMAN SATULURY. APRIL-1995: 10-04-1995 Sai appeared in the form of an unknown person. He cautioned me not to do injustice to poor children under the cover of offering prayers and worshiping, as it will suffocate HIS children. Sai meant that I should not betray the poor for the sake of my personal gains. Poor are the favorite children of Sai. 11-04-1995 Sai gave the message in the form of an unknown person as follows: Even the waste water diverted to the guava tree, continues to give us the sweet fruit in return. Will it be fair to engage in plucking the fruit? In the night hours, when it is taking rest. There is no escape from death even though one has lot of wealth, Wisdom and adamancy. Everybody turn deaf ears when I say God gives us everything, but are busy in racing after human beings for winning their personal favors. God knows what is best to be given. 13-04-1995 Sai in the form of an unknown person said- Extend help to others only after ensuring their credentials to avoid future headaches. Also offer shelter in the house only to the deserving ones, lest they might show you the way out. Offer shelter to the right and deserving person. To be continued….. ---- 4. QUINTESSENCE OF SRI SAIBABA'S PHILOSOPHY: (By Late Sri Bharam UmamaheswaraRao) " Shashi " : shashi_31 30. Efficacy of Prayer and Worship Baba further said – Know the root cause of your Janma and then only you will know your true self. If you develop firm devotion and faith in Me, the egoism evaporates, sins rooted out and self-realization sets in. then My nama will always be in your mind. If you have faith and worship Me, you will be free from worldly worries. Realize Me as pristine, pure, pleasant, unblemished, equipoised Brahman. I shall be pleased with those who worship Me with unwavering mind and unflinching devotion. In this worldly ocean, when the life boat if rowed by Sadguru one will definitely reach the divine destination. When divine hand of Sadguru blesses the disciples, all his sins will be shattered and the egoism of the disciple will be crushed down. Baba said – Do not try for name and fame in this world. Try to get mercy of God and get the grace of God. Do not try to get praises from worldly people. Keep My form in your mind and try always to worship Me, who is seated in your heart. Keep your mind firm on Me and do not allow to think about your body, house or money. Then you will attain mental peace and your mind will not waver during Pooja. When the mind is in such a state, you can be sure that it is in the path of Divinity. The indescribable Sat-Chit-Ananda Swaroopa has come on earth in the shape of Sai Baba to facilitate His devotees. He said to one of His devotees – those who think I am present only in Shirdi; do not understand My real nature. Am I not present everywhere? To be continued….. ----------------------------- 5. SANATANA DHARMA & SHRI SHIRDI SAIBABA. Baba got almost all the temples in Shirdi repaired. Through Tatya Patil, the temples of Shani, Ganapati, Shankar-Parvati, Village Deity, and Maruti were put in order. Sai Satcharita-Chapters VII - Behaviour of Sai Baba Lord Ganesha: the elephant god In the Hindu pantheon , there is perhaps, no other, more familiar figure than that of Ganesh, the elephant-headed god with a mountainous belly , one missing tusk, four hands and seen seated, usually on a mouse. His extremely familiar figure, dots every village, hamlet and town in India. Of all the religious icons, Ganesha's is one of the most popular, therefore it’s not surprising to come across ganesha statues, ganesha pendants, ganesha images, ganesha pictures, ganesha photos, ganesha symbols and other instances of ganesha art. He is known to different people by different names, chief among these being Vakratunda, Vinayaka (lord of the lords), Gajanana, Siddhivanayaka, Ekadantha (one tusked), and Vigneshwara (one who removes impediments). In Maharashtra he is adoringly called God Ganapati or simply Ganapati . Ganesha is also seen in the Hindu belief system as the only Hindu God who is the embodiment of Om or Pranava. It's been ordained by Lord Shiva, Ganesha's progenitor that before the commencement of any task or undertaking the name of Ganesha or Om should uttered or intoned( Sri Ganesha ). In the language of symbolism his feet are signifiers of Knowledge and Action. The axe that he holds in one hand is the symbol of severing ties that bind one to the worldly attachments. The rope or line that he holds in the other hand is a depiction of how he pulls his devotees closer to himself. Ganesha had been blessed by Shiva to be the one whose intercession would remove hurdles or obstacles from the path of anyone who invoked his help (Vigneshwara). That is the rationale underscoring all prayers that are made to him before the beginning of any project. It is also said of Ganesha in the scriptures that he is the ruling spirit of the Muladhara Chakra which is the center of the body where all psychic energy (kundalini Shakti) is directed. It was made obligatory at Lord Shiva's command to pay obeisance to Ganesh before embarking on any journey, task or undertaking, this was done for the twin purpose of auspicious beginnings and a hurdle-free passage through the tasks. He decreed Ganesha should be worshipped in the month Bhadra Pada. DEVOTEES EXPERIENCES: Hitesha24 Fri, August 3, 2007 12:17 pm My Experiences happen in March 2006, just weeks before my my birthday, I was lying in bed in the morning and started to prayer to Sai Baba, and for a breif 2 minutes he came and blessed me. He was sitting on a stone and was wearing white clothing. I didn't see him in a dream but I was fully awake, with my eyes close. SAI WITH CHILDREN: http://www.saidarbar.org/HTML/portraits/7.jpg Smt. Madhu Gopal Ravada, Saidarbar, Hyderabad. Hello Children! I am Madhu aunty. Do you know Baba use to play with children and used to tell stories to them? I felt children visiting Saidarbar should be entertained with good stories. Now I want to tell the stories what heard in my child hood. Two Frogs in Trouble Once a big fat frog and a lively little frog were hopping along together when they had the misfortune of jumping into a pail of fresh milk. They swam for hours and hours hoping to get out somehow; but the sides of the pail were steep and slippery and death seemed to be certain. When the big frog was exhausted he lost courage. There seemed no hope of rescue. “Why keep struggling against the inevitable? I cannot swim any longer.” He moaned. “Keep on! Keep on!” urged the little frog, who was still circling the pail. So they went on for a while. But the big frog decided it was no use. “Little brother, we may as well give up” he gasped. “I am going to quit struggling.” Now only the little frog was left. He thought to himself. “Well, to give up is to be dead, so I will keep swimming.” Two more hours passed and the tiny legs of the determined little frog were almost paralyzed with exhaustion. It seemed as if he could not keep moving for another minute. But he thought of his dead friend, and repeated, “To give up is to be meat for someone’s table, so I’ll keep paddling on until I die – if death is to come – but I will not cease trying – while there is life, there is hope.”
