Guest guest
our beloved Babaji has penned some Lovely Lines on 'LOVE' - the supreme Emotion - not Kama the lustful love or moha- the infatuation but Divine love which is eternal and everlasting . Prema ! in this context , i would like to relate to you all a Story from Sufi literature ! here it goes The Sufi story tells us of a group of moving moths. From distance they keep watching the flame and wondered, " What is there in this flame that keeps us drawing us? What is there in the flame that fascinates us beyond measure? " One by one the moth went there to investigate. They wanted to find the reason of their attraction towards the flame like a needle drawn towards the magnet. One by one they approached towards the flame, they felt burning fear took over them of losing the known and they returned. The leader of the moth said, " You cannot know the nature of the attracting flame just by investigating it from the distance. " You must jump in and be one with. Let it overwhelm you and be merged in it. The entity you call yourself must end. " He went neat the flame and jumped in it and became one with it. Other moths stood far away and kept saying Ah, he has become one with flame! here is a Rumi POEM TO DELIGHT YOU ALL! THE SHIP SUNK IN LOVE Should Love's heart rejoice unless I burn? For my heart is Love's dwelling. If You will burn Your house, burn it, Love! Who will say, 'It's not allowed'? Burn this house thoroughly! The lover's house improves with fire. From now on I will make burning my aim, From now on I will make burning my aim, for I am like the candle: burning only makes me brighter. Abandon sleep tonight; traverse fro one night the region of the sleepless. Look upon these lovers who have become distraught and like *moths have died in union with the One Beloved.* Look upon this ship of God's creatures and see how it is sunk in Love. Mathnawi VI, 617-623 The Rumi Collection, Edited by Kabir Helminski In Krishna Prema , you 'burn' - to be 'one ' with Sri Krishna - the jiva's yearning to be in union eith paramatma ! This is the highest 'Love' - NOT KAMA BUT PREMA! be a moth and burn in the flame of love! Jai Radha Krishna!
