Guest guest
Sorry my earlier post contained tamil version which is not accepted. The following are two more poems translated in english by Mahakavi Bharathi on Krishna ( kananan as we are used to call in tamil ) & self discipline Self Discipline - & #2950; & #2980; & #3021; & #2990; & #2972; & #3014; & #2991; & #2990; & #3021; Things that are visible to me Won't my hands take them all? The sky that's visible from earth Won't that become ours to call? Thinking forever and trying hard, will we finally lose? Tell me O goddess thou who are the sky, earth, my eyes and numbers. The Promises, the pride, the successes So many priveleges! Control over self shall get these and more told the wise men of yore in the scriptures. Yet will we stand low failing to control our self? Kannan my lover My beloved's face is forgotten - to whom shall I covey this my friend? The heart hasn't forgotten his love - then can the face be forgotten? In my eyes there is an image - but his splendor isn't complete. When I recollect his face - that enchanting smile is not there. My heart, without a rest, thinks only of his love. My mouth, wihout a break, talks of that charmer's praise. My eyes committed a sin - and I started forgetting his face. In the entire womankind - have you ever seen a dumb girl as me? A bee that forgot the honey - or A flower that forgot its radiance Or a crop that forgot the rain - are Not there in this whole world, my friend. If they forgot his face - what is the use of these eyes, my friend? I don't even have his portrait - then how am I to live my friend?
