Guest guest
Pranam I was watching this strange phenomena from my childhood that the popularity or loyalty towards the different Gods is shifting in the people's mind set. When I was a kid and studying in Visakhapatnam I saw people used to worship and almost every other shop name was somewhere related to KanakaMahalakshi, then after few years in my High School days I saw it was Lord Venkateswara, in the later stages it was Ayyappa and Ganesha now the trend is towards Sai Baba. Except Sai Baba I never saw any drastic changes in the mind set of the people but when people shifted their views or loyalty now every tree or a street corner is a temple filled with the statues of Sai Baba (I have no problem with Sai Baba or people worshiping Him). Earlier this was not the case for the other Gods. And even I saw people's dependency is growing too much on God now a days which is a Good or Bad Idea I can't. Can anyone please explain this phenomena to me why it is happening so. What is that made Sai Bada more attractive to people than the traditional Gods? Thank You Badri

People love to follow what others are doing...they have no time for testing their faith. Like in North, Ganesha was not very popular, after the milk drinking episode, Ganesha became hot god!! also in North, there were just 2 Shani temples...now each colony has one !! One great soul once told me that in Kaliyuga most of the devas vanish. Since Kali is the real Yuga of Kali, so Kali and Hanumanji will be able to help people... dont know how far he was right but sounded logical. Now Each person can not start worshipping god in Attributeless, nameless formless, form. A novice has to start with a name... and each person select the form of god as per his mental evolution...and others just follow. Guest guest
If the above mentioned is for Hinduism the other thing what is happening is conversion in almost every place, as I observed in the villages which I pass by regularly first there will be a small hut with thatched roof in the remote area or outskirts of a town or village, gradually in few years I see it into a big building or beautiful church in that place. Where the funds are coming from and who checks the accounts for these churches which are gradually growing all over India.

It is because Hindus have a false sense of tolerance- while other religons preach obvious lies against us, we as Hindus have to be tolerant. If all religons are equal, why dont I hear other religons talking about greatness of Hindusim- when our so called intellectuals in India go out of their way to praise other religons? Its like someone enters your house & slaps you, but you have to be tolerant, & not respond! > Where the funds are coming from and who checks the accounts for these > churches which are gradually growing all over India. A document found some time ago, & published in many newspapers, including Times of India & Indian Express, showed that christians treat this as a war- they use war like words. Territories, conquer, destroy opposition etc. Mainly American Evengelists, who spend millions to Save our souls. The same Evangelists who were found to be working for CIA in Venezuala. When the 3 Christian Missionaries were killed, there was such a hullaboo. The Pope visited India to lecture us heathens. Hindu leaders got together, & made a statement to the effect all religons were equal, all led to God. They asked the Pope to make the same statement, but he refused outright, saying he couldnt lie! But no media, Indian or foreign, covered this, because we are a tolerant society. Jai Bharat Ma!
