Guest guest
just thought I should share this experience of mine with this group. * " Violence against ones self is the greatest barrier to sadhana " .....* By violence I do not mean a physical violence.... What I mean is a subtle mental violence.... Let me illustrate by example.... The moment a undesirable thought enters our mind, we are quick to react.... We immediately revolt against the thougt and we are violent with our own self.... We feel guilty.....why??? Because we think that thought is wrong... suppose thoughts of lust come in.... We revolt.... Thoughts of sensual pleasures come in we revolt.... Thoughts of money come in.. we revolt.... Thoughts of hate come in...we revolt... Thoughts of anger come in we revolt.... Actually all emotions are just thoughts... if we watch deeply, it starts from a thought.. from a conditioning.....from samskaras and karma.....if that causative reason is removed, we will be free of those emotions.... Ironically this revolting of ours.... generates so much physic energy, that the energy is absorbed by the emotion that we are revolting against. It is like a spring.....by revolting we compress the spring and make it small. But as we know... This spring has double the energy now.....The moment we are off guard, it jumps up so fast and with so much energy that we are taken unawares.... Guess what we do next.......? Yes.. We revolt more... Generate more energy and donate it to the thought.....This chain reaction is the bondage.. the Maya cycle...... When we look deeply.. This is the mechanism of desire... this is how we become HUGE bundles of desire, hate, etc. What to do????? how to escape this... We cannot become animals... neither do we want to remain trapped in maya... The Soultion to this is ACCEPTANCE... Acceptance of yourself... Of all emotions, of everything that happens within us.... Love yourself.... It does no mean that when we get angry.. we just take a sword and rush at the offender...that is REAL violence.. what we need to do... is at that second dissocate ourselves from the thought..become the witness and watch what is happening... without revolting....with great patience and love... Then we understand the mechanism of anger... we understand where it all arises from.. It arises from beyond the mental body.... It is caused by samskaras... The many dozens of springs that lie buried in the soul... By and by the springs exhaust themselves....they loose energy and slowdown... the very second the slowdown starts, bliss starts appearing.. peace and ananda start appearing... Bliss is inversely propotional to thoughts...... By and by we see that this deep Acceptance of one's self has done the MIRACLE... The spring is broken....and one gets rid of all negatve samskaras... All anger, lust, fear, greed get converted into silence... The conciousness shines with all its brilliance.... We understand.. SHIVOHAM (I am Shiva, I am Conciousness) Love Bala..
