Guest guest
Yo Brahmaa sah Hari prokto yo hari sah Maheshwara Ya Kali saiv Krishnah syad ya krishna saiv kalika devedevi smuddishya na kurydantram kanchita tatbhedo na mantavya shiv-shakti mayam jagatah The one who is Bramhaa, is actually Hari. The one who is Hari he is actually Shiva. The one who is Kali is actually Krishna and Krishna is Kali herself. Those who differentiate between names of god are ignorant…. All are manifestation of One. This universe is nothing but dance of shiva and shakti. ===================================================================================== Trayanaamek-bhavanam yo na pashyati vai bhidam sarvabhutatmanam brahaman sa shanti-madhi-gachhati the One who does not differentiate between the tritnity (Brahmaa, vishnu, mahesh)...only he can see God in all the living beings, and can reach the highest Peace

Guest guest
Happy Sri Krishna Janmashtami to one and all ! May I share this poem by Saint Surdas with you all on this day of Lord Krishna's Sacred Birthday ? The Lord Helps His Devotees The voice falters when it sings of the deeds of the Lord who's an ocean of mercy. He gave guileful Putana, who posed as his mother, a mother's reward! He of whom the Vedas and the Upanishads sing as the Unmanifest, let Yashoda bind him with a rope, lamented Ugrasena's grief, and after killing Kansa made him king paying him obeisance, bowing low; Freed the kings held captive by jarAsandha at which the kingly hosts sang his praises; removing Gautama's curse he restored life to stone-turned Ahalya:' all in a moment he rescued Braj's ruler from the sea-monster running to his aid as a cow to her calf, " he came hastening to rescue the king of the elephants; he got Namadeva's hut thatched. says Suradasa, O, make Hari hear my prayer. Guest guest
Happy Janashtmi everyone! Sorry I was a bit busy... On this beautiful day, I would like a post a story I posted a long time ago, but which I'll repost for our new members: Rahim, the famous poet & courtier in Akbars court, was also a big lover of Krishna, something which made other courtiers & the Mullahs jealous & angry. But Rahim was a favourite of Akbar, so they didnt dare attack him openly. So they decided to hold a compeitition, sponsored by the King- they would give you a line of poem, you had complete it. The line was " .... Kafir hai wo jisse Khayal nahi Islam ka " " ..... He is an infidel who doesnt care for Islam " Since it was sponsored by King, all would be expected to participate. If Rahim didnt, they could openly attack him of being against Islam. If he did, they would say he was a hypocrite, a fake lover of Krishna! They had him either way. Rahim was angry, but he kept quiet. On the day of the compeition, everyone was looking him. When his turn came, there was pin drop silence- even King Akbar bent forward to see what he would do. Rahim started: " Khyal karo is lam ka, ye Kesu mere pyare Ghanshyam ka, Kafir hai woh, jisse khayal nahi Is lam ka " " Care for this lock of hair(is lam), the beautiful hair of my lovely Krishna, He is an infidel who doesnt care for this lock of hair(is lam) " He took advantage of fact " Islam " also means " Lock of hair " . The whole court erupted in cheers. Rahims enemies looked embarassed, as their game had backfired. Akbar announced 1st prize for Rahim, but Rahim refused it. He said " Sir, me & my father have been serving you for many years, yet you felt it ok to humiliate me & my love for Krishna this way. Now I can no longer work for you " . With this Rahim left the court. Soon after, troubles started for Akbar, & he died a bitter man. Lesson: You can insult Krishna, but do not try to insult his Bhaktas! love Shantnu
