Guest guest
One should sadhya towards a superior level. And slowly one would develop desire and love towards something superior. When this happens, your desire towards physical gratifications will automatically reduce. So having desires cannot be curbed nor can you stop desiring something, unless with knowledge and understanding of what is superior (universal love, world peace and prosperity , god in one and all etc.) and some contact with/sadhna towards that superior object/status one develops a natural desire for that and the inferior desire and a physical level will wane off. An example is that of a girl who gets married. Before she is married, she is so much in love with her parents and attached to all the things she possessed thus far that she cannot imagine life without it. After marriage and with knowledge of her new life and sadhna in her new home, she begins to find love and attachment with her in laws, with her husband that her attachment towards her parents and the past diminishes over time. If you find more pleasure in doing yoga through sadhna and knowledge, you will cherish the ice-cream lesser.
