Guest guest
stuti/praise of Lord Vishnu's rupa from VISHNU UPANISHAD- " His eyes are as beautiful as two petals of a spotless lotus. Golden rays emanate from his form of blue complexion. One never feels satiated to look at his form. The lord is distiguished from all things, animate and inanimate, other than himself. He is invisible(agochar) but only prior to an ardent worship;for he is verily visible after that:be sure about this fact. The Lord enjoys ever budding youth. Sri is another form of his.She resides on the Lord's bosom in the shape of a beautiful golden streak " " I offer my obesciance to Sri Vishnu, the supreme, who permeates all animate beings and inanimate existence and also transcends the entire cosmos at the same time. The creation, sustenance and sublation of the universe are his eternal sports " The focus of concentration of the devotee gradually becomes one and only one-God. Finally this devotion dissolves his ego/ahamkaara when he /she is totally absorbed in God's love.At this time heart becomes pure. The scriptures say that at such a point God takes upto himself the responsibility of caring for his bodily needs. The aim of devotee is nothing except devotion and at most its being near the lotus feet of Lord. Dharma , artha, kaam or moksha- he has none of these goals. His devotion is nishkaam/devoid of desires. He does not desire merging or becoming one with God because in that way he will no longer be able to serve or love God.Besides love is for the sake of love alone.Any other is business. Bharat says in Ram Charita Manas- " I do not desire dharma, artha, kaam or moksha. It is fit for me only that my love for Shri Ram keeps increasing and that I serve him in each birth.Just as for the chaataka its appropriate that he keeps loving the moonlight even though the moon might increase or decrease " Bhakti is para and parama. The previous is sadhna bhakti that is done for getting and being close to Lord's lotus feet.Once the sidhdhi is attained the devotee can serve saakshaat which is called saadhya bhakti.A liberated devotee can also visit Lord's leela vibhuti on his own or under Lord's orders. The scriptures say that sattoguni sampanna jeeva(one who is situated in mode of goodness) through his sadhna reaches a place where without the darshana of God he cant have peace. It is then that God takes avtaara and gratifies him. regards to all
