Guest guest
kali yuga kevala naam adhaaraa sumiri sumiri nara utarahi paaraa In the age of Kali, the Names of Lord alone are of support to mankind for devotion. By REMEMBERING and REMEMBERING LOVINGLY the Name of Lord alone, men can CROSS the ocean of material existence. kali yuga kevala hari guNa gaahaa gaavata nara paavata bhava thaaha In the age of Kali, there is ONLY one way to get RELEASE from the worldly bondage, that is to SING WHOLEHEARTEDLY the Glories of Lord HARI. nahi kali dharma na bhagati viveku raamanaama avalambana yeku In the age of Kali, there is NO use of varna-ashrama dharma nor ritualistic vaidhi bhakti, nor the subtle knowledge of formless Brahman. The only SUPPORT and SUSTENANCE is the Name of Lord Raama. kali yuga yoga na yajna na jaanaa yek aadhaara raama guNa gaanaa In the age of Kali, Patamjali's astaangayoga, or the jnana of Advaita Philosophy, or the fire sacrifices done to heavenly gods, are of NO HELP! For God realisation, there is ONLY ONE HELP, i.e., SINGING LOVINGLY the Glories, Virtues and Lilas of Lord Rama. So Saint Tulasidasji PRAYS to His Ramacandra Kripalu, ab prabhu kripa karahu yehi bhaamti saba taji bhajana karaum dina raati O Lord, NOW Grace me in SUCH a way, that I will leave ALL other USELESS sadhanas, other RITUAL practices, and ENGAGE myself day and night in LOVINGLY SINGING YOUR Names, Extolling Your Grace and Your Virtues, REMEMBERING Your Lilas and CONTEMPLATING upon Your blissful Form. Could you throw some light on why Bhakti yoga is the most suitable in this Kaliyuga ? Even though there are many faster paths (like yoga, tantra etc) still many of the saints confirmed that Bhakti will be main path in kaliyuga and if we see around, bhakti is the main path ..be it hindus or christians or muslims they are mostly following bhakti yoga. Is there something special about Kali and Bhakti ? with love
Guest guest
Namaste babaji. Glad you enjoyed Sant Tulasidas ji's doha from Sri Rama Carita Manas. I'd comment later on chanting of Divine Names in Kaliyuga as I find more time to write a long post. krita juga saba jogee vijnaanee kari hari-dhyaan tarahi bhava praanee In the golden age of Krita, all the inhabitants were fully enlightened souls and capable of engaging their minds and hearts in contemplative meditation upon Lord Hari. Thus they have all crossed over the ocean of material existence. tretaa vividha yajna nara karahee prabhuhi samarpi karma bhava tarahee In Treta Yuga, the same results were achieved by the people through performing various sacrificial worships and offering them for the pleasure of the Lord. Thus they have all crossed over the ocean of material existence. dvaapara kari raghu (yadu) pati pada poojaa nara bhava tarahi upaaya na doojaa In the age of Dwapara, there was no other alternate remedy to achieve the ultimate goal but through rendering their loving service to the lotus feet of the Lord Himself (through Pancaratra worship). Thus they have all crossed over the ocean of material existence. yahi kali kaala na saadhana doojaa jog na japa tapa vrat makha poojaa For this fallen age of Kali, there is NO other alternate path of spiritual practice such as yoga meditation, mechanical counting on beads, severe penance & vows and sacrificial worship to please the heavenly personalities like Indra etc.,. Raamahi sumiriya gaayiya raamahi santata siniya raama guna graamahi So please only REMEMBER Lord Ramacandra, only sing the holy Names of Rama, always listen to His Divine attributes, and His ever blissful exploits. Is it from Ram-charitmanas ? which chapter and shloka please tell.... Here in lebanon i dont have many books with me so i m stuck up. Thanks anyway ...this is what Aurobindo also wrote in his book Synthesis of Yoga. Meanwhile i present a beautiful prayer written by Shri Aurobindo for Mother. MOTHER OF RADIANCES =================== O Mother of Radiances, you have dawned in the narrow horizons of my mind. Out of its depthless rigidities, in the midst of its walled up spaces you have created a heart like something that will live its eternal life. You have revealed to me a chamber alive and warm within the mind's substanceless polar regions and there I can safely retire and find in you my refuge. The lower network of moving forces remains, but I feel your presence in its midst. The higher netweork of moving forces remains, and here you have stepped in also shedding a warmth of life that was not there before, you have turned the dull grey luminosity into a brilliance of living waters. Your active and living presence is everywhere; you have heeded my words of aspiration the fire of my demand for you omnipresence. More than what I ignorantly sought for, you have revealed to me. You are intimate and one with me when in truth and law and yet away and far off from me when in error and in falsehood. When there are no more darkening shadows about me; when you see bared of all shams and shows in every part of the being; when you see in every cell of my body an eternal home for you and an eternal temple; when you see me one with you in identity and still worshipping you; when you melt the compact gold of knowledge in the living and running waters of devotion; when you break my earth and release the Energies; when you turn my pride into power in your hands and my ignorance into light, my narrowness into wideness, my selfishness into a true gathering together of forces in one center, my greed into a capacity of untiring search after the truth for the attainment of its substances, my egoism into the true and conscious instrumental centre, my mind into a channel for you to descend, my heart into your hearth of pure fire and flame, my life into a p0ure and translucent substance for your handling, my body into a conscious vessel for holding what of you is meant for me; then O Mother of Radiances, my aim in life now and hereafter will be fulfilled in the true and right and vast way. Aspiration wakes in me! Achieve in me all that I flame for !!!! Hari Aum
Guest guest
Yes, baba ji, these hindi doha are from Rama Carita Manas, posted on my forum a few years ago.. I too do not have the book with me at present to give you the chapters. Tulasidas ji had writen many such doha in different chapters, Sri Kripaluji maharaj chants and quotes them often in his speeches. You can find some on line at this link: http://www.onlinedarshan.com/ramayana/ Another site with vaalmiki ramayana and word by word translations: http://acharya.iitm.ac.in/mirrors/vv/literature/ramayana/ramainv.html Jaya Sri Raddhe! , beirut_ka_baba <no_reply wrote: > > , pyari_h <no_reply@> wrote: > > Thanks Hari Pyari ji, > > This was beautiful.
