Is medical career right for me?

I am currently in a dilemma, and I am wondering whether I have the capability to have a career in medicine, specifically surgery. I also am concerned that my dream of getting into a top medicall school will be very hard, if not impossible for me. My parents are also discouraging me, saying that I will never make it, and my uncle, who is a self proclaimed rishi, adds to the fire by saying that he cannot see me wearing an "aala" or a stethescope. I want to ask you respected gurus if you think

 

a)whether I will get into a top medicl school

b)whether I will have a successful career in medicine.

I m just a student of astrology and a novice. I had tried my best to interpret your chart in regards to your question.

 

I see a following yogas in your chart to connect you to Medical line. I know you may not be able to understand what I will be saying but I want to write down here so that able astrologers on this forum can point out my mistakes.

 

1) Your Ascendent is Scorpio which is related with Surgeon/Dentists. Lord of Ascendent Mars (Obviously signifing Surgery, dentistry) is strongest planet in your chart and is in 4th house aspecting fully your house of profession and house of gains

 

2) Lord of profession Sun (Exalted and strong) is in house 6 means you will be related to profession related with healing and curing diseases

 

3) Mercury (indicating skills and lord of gains) is with the lord of profession Sun. Means your skills will be effected by Sun (here indicating healing, medicine)

 

4) Moon (Lord of mind) is aspected by Rahu (indicating healing also) [i don't know whether this condition is strong enough to indiate medical profession)

 

5) Moon lord of house 9 (House of luck and also house of education after graduation, also 9th house is 5th from fifth) is indicator of healing and aspected by Rahu (indicating healing) may indicate a superspecialisation in healing (I am not sure about this)

 

For now your Ketu Mahadasha is on which is aspecting your house of education,is sitting with moon (Lord of Luck and mind) in the house of luck, and also aspecting your Ascendent. This is the most probable culprit in your not succeeding in getting admission and causing you mental stress, and also making you unlucky sometimes. This mahadasha is going to end in september 2009 and after that your Venus mahadasha will start which will help you getting better in studies as Venus is exalted in house of education. Also venus is lord of apara vidya as default (The knowledge used in this world)

Hello Narayan,

I really appreciate ur interest in the field of medicine.I advise u not to check horoscopes and all...just go for it.It is a field for the people who are interested.I am a doctor from India now in the US.I never checked my horoscopes before getting into medicine.Use astrology only as a warning science and dont make it your way of life.Do whatever u want in life but be good to people,work hard and never give up ur virtues.
