Does The Spiritual Book 'The Great Transcendental Adventure' hide the true events of History after 1977 with a 'covered-up'?

Recently one of Devamrita Swami's disciples handed me a copy of Kurma the famous chef's book, entitled "The Great Transcendental Adventure." I read it and was very surprised at what was left out of the book.

 

 

According to the book it was written in 1999, which isn't that long ago, but certainly a long time after Bhavananda was the Zonal Acarya of Australia. What is surprising is that the book concludes with the end of Srila Prabhupada's manifested lila, or at the point where Srila Prabhupada left this Earthly realm.

 

 

What seems to have happened is that "The Great Transcendental Adventure" had no significance after Srila Prabhupada's departure.

 

 

Bhavananda only gets one mention in the book, and the mention is about both he and Jayapataka going to Vrindaban for Srila Prabhupada's passing.

 

 

After everything that went on here in Australasia throughout the 1980's with Bhavananda and his supporters, which Kurma dasa the famous chef was a very, very significant part of, Bhavananda only got one very small mention in Kurma prabhu's book!

It's still a bit early to write the understanding and history of ISKCON after 1977. Dovotees are still very spiritually immature.

I was underwhelmed by this article. It's clear that Kurma (the original) chose to write about early pastimes in Australia, up to the time of Srila Prabhupada's disappearance. What's the big deal? What does Kurma (the latter) mean by "cover up"?

 

The Sun article by Kurma (the latter) seems to show that he's more interested in generating heat than light. And it seems to indicate a paucity of editorial discrimination on the part of the Sun staff. If he wants to write about the things that happened in Australia after the Fall of '77, he's free to do so and see if he can get it published and read.
