In the spirit of Isopanishad?

In the purport to mantra two of the Isopanishad Srila Prabhupada writes:

When altruistic activities are executed in the spirit of Sri Isopanishad, they become a form of karma-yoga. Such activities are recommended in the Bhagavad-gitä (18.5-9), for they guarantee their executor protection from the danger of sliding down into the evolutionary process of birth and death. Even though such God-centered activities may be half-finished, they are still good for the executor because they will guarantee him a human form in his next birth. In this way one can have another chance to improve his position on the path of liberation.

What does he mean "in the spirit of Sri Isopanishad?"

I think that this refers to the theme of Sri Isopanisad that is described in the first verse.

Śrī Īśopaniṣad 1

īśāvāsyam idam sarvaḿ

yat kiñca jagatyāḿ jagat

tena tyaktena bhuñjīthā

gṛdhaḥ kasya svid dhanam

SYNONYMS

īśa — by the Lord; āvāsyam — controlled; idam — this; sarvam — all; yat kiñca — whatever; jagatyām — within the universe; jagat — all that is animate or inanimate; tena — by Him; tyaktena — set-apart quota; bhuñjīthāḥ — you should accept; do not; gṛdhaḥ — endeavor to gain; kasya svit — of anyone else; dhanam — the wealth.

TRANSLATION

Everything animate or inanimate that is within the universe is controlled and owned by the Lord. One should therefore accept only those things necessary for himself, which are set aside as his quota, and one should not accept other things, knowing well to whom they belong.

I agree. This is also the basic teaching of Christ, karma/bhakti yoga, which is real Christianity.

The devotee is amibitonless in the sense he has no personal desire for material gain in anything he does. The devotee does not work with an eye to material accumulation knowing his quota is arranged already according to his prarabdha karma which is under the will of the Lord.

Thus his mind is peaceful and he can let it be occupied with thoughts and plans for serving the Lord and others, and serving the Lord in others.

Herein also lies true communism which is quite distinct from the kali-yuga version of the Soviet Union and Red China. This is the way to truly transcend all sense of false ownership which is the stated goal of such ideologies.

The sticking point for them is in "knowing well to whom all things belong."
