Guest guest
Vedic scriptures state that our souls are not god, human or animal, but pure divine sparks of Brahman. Yet each of our souls are presently enclosed in deva, human or animal bodies, depending on our state of spiritual evolution. It is said by Hindu sages that when a human dies their subtle body (linga sharia) continues on an astral humanlike form, until their next birth. My question is do jivas presently incarnated in animal bodies also continue in some sort of subtle animal bodies when they die and enter into the spirit world? I am asking because some people who have had OBEs see animals in that astral realm... sometimes even their pet dogs, horses or cats who have died. Are these pets still in animal forms because that's how they identified themself during their previous incarnation?
