Dear Respected members,

Just like to have some opinion on neech bhanga concept. There have

been many different views put forth I will explain a bit of my own

chart and post concequetive charts from other people as well, but

your kind opinions from either side of the stand (some will agree and

some will not) will be appreciated for learning.

Does neech bhanaga occur in Navamasa ?

In my case

Aug 6 1980

12:04am (just after midnite)

bombay

lagna aries; Navamasha lagna libra

Mars lord of lagna is placed in cancer in D9. However it is placed

1. In an angle to the D9 Lagna

2. Its exhalation dispositor (saturn) is placed in kendra to d9 lagna

as well

3. The planet that exhalts in cancer (jupiter) is again in kendra to

moon (navamasa chart as well)

Considering all the above rules which are applicable to neech

bhanga. The above do cancel neech bahanga.

On the question of applicablity to the D9 chart there are many places

where its mentioned to see other yogas like gaja kesari, parivartana

etc from D9 then I suppose by the same token Neecha bhanga would be

applicable to D9 as well.

I have on a few occassions been told that mars (lagnesh in my chart

is weak due to the debilation in D9, its placement in 6th in inmical

sign and it being conjunct with Saturn). I like to put the following

points again astrologically speaking to say mars is strong.

1. Neech bhanga cancellation in D9.

2. Mars is placed 5th from Moon lagna

3. Dispositor of Mars (mercury is vargottama)

4. Mars is actually strong in accordance with Bhirgu Nadi Sutras in

6th.

5. Mars is placed with kendra lord saturn

6. Mars is malefic placed with another malefic in a Upachaya House

7. Mars being lord of 8th is placed in 6th (virpreeta raja)

8. Mars is well in degree position with-in the rashi sign.

9. The conjunction of saturn and mars in degree is quite apart.

It would have been good to have mars placed in 10th house in

capricorn. But nonetheless placement of mars in 6th in an inmical

sign simply cannot be called weak - infact with different txts saying

differently about the 6th house being both a dustana and upachaya.

Would enjoy hearing thoughts, it would be much apperciated if

relevent links or books or sutras are posted or quoted for me to

learn.

Regards

Amit

Namaste,

The general opinion on Neechcha bhnGcA planet is that they shall not bestow any improvements in the areas concerning to them [balatheebhikhai].

I also understand from Tamil medieval texts that a planets in the D9 should compliment it in the natal chart for bestowing its bUrnNa palam, if supplements it in the natal chart, the palam would be reduced.

As you have already past Mars (a neutral planet for you ) dhasa [05.09.1983 to 05.09.1990],kindly share your experience to improve my knowledge.

Namaste Dear Friend,

Let me share my honest experience in my Mars MD. While I was quite

young during my Mars MD I still very accurately remeber my life.

In short Mars MD was one of the best periods in my life. I am not

simply saying this to prove something but it infact was one of the

most glorious phases of my life in terms of mental peace and

happiness, my education during my younger years was good, I was with

my family (inspite of travelling) we all we together. I was quite

jovial and happy during my Mars MD and never felt the desire to

acccumalate since I never felt loss of anything.

The only thing I remeber that was a bit fearful was a small operation

on my foot during 85 or 86 when I accidently had my bare foot on a

piece of glass which went through my leg, but the surgery was very

minor to remove it.....

All in all I wish I can run my Mars MD again since it was

wonderful....There are many experiences in life (some Antar dasa's

have been bad though non have been able to accurately pin point which

dasa's were bad. While many of the astrological predictions pertaning

to my chart have been general something I have read being predicted to

other members since my problems are simliar to many on the fourm such

as finances and job inspite of varied planatery placement it seems

much of the predictions circle around the same set of principles time

and again.

I on the other hand enjoy learning, rationalizing and observing

various authors in seeing why people are led to rational out a chart

in a particular way and in the process I derive much informational

material for my own learning process.

Thanks and Best Wishes
