Planets in a particular house in contrast to planets aspecting a particular hous

Dear Respected members,

 

I am curious to understand the effect of planets when they are situated

in a particular house in contrast to planets that aspect a particular

house.

 

For instances lets say Sun+Mercury+Rahu is in 4th house and aspecting

10th house as opposed to Sun+Mer+Rahu being in house 10th.

 

How would the two cases and results differ in regards to career.

 

I am trying to understand what is more powerful in producing beneficial

results, weather planets being placed in a particular house or

aspecting a particular house?
