it is a good question `WHATEVER U READ D-1 is supreme what is applicable there must be complimented in any VARGA OR DIVISION.

Yogas in amsas vargas if by placement alone say DKY yes work assuming they are atleast well placed in D-1.

There is a September Special issue in the Astrological Magazine in 72-74 on Vargas.

the gist being

that as said above D-1 IS SUPREME what is not present there and present in other varsgas can't be over written by Vargas. [unless well placed there]

any malefic in 5th Amsa/Varga will reduce the Varga character say in a malefic in 5th saptamsa, 5th Navamsa or 5th dasamsa or 5th Ekadasamsa etc shows LACK OR PURVA PUNYA in that aspect of the chart so get back to the main chart and read what u get there as well.

your question on Kantaka Amsa in D60 is the way you must see it BPHS clearly gives you clues that if a dasa is not giving expected results in spite o being well placed, aspected etc check for cruel D60 insuch cases all Yogas are also swept aside.

the reverse is not possible as you must see how many people became Raja Ram Mohan Roy, Swami Vivekananda, Mahatma Gandhi, Sachin Tendulkar or Tiger Woods, Martin Luther King etc.. the odss to get a good chart is high.

Probably Bhagavad Gita' has clue here

where it says a good deed done unintentionally will not account for a boon or positive score but a unintentional act of violence, hurt can bring you sin so the onus to do things by conscious effort is very high.

the analogy is for positive side needs more but negative ones need less to get any score.

[vedic astrology] Importance of D-60 ( Rafal Ji and Rohini Ranjan Ji )

Dear Rafal Ji and Rohini Ranjan Ji,

Hope you are all well there. I am enjoying your regular input in the forum. People have been given immense importance to various D charts specially D-9 to analyse many aspects. My understanding regarding D-60 is limited. I know it represents the past karma and its subsequent influence on the native's present life.

Do you consider to see the fructification of a yoga from D-60 as well. And how? Suppose I have Saturn forms DKY in D-1, exalted in D-9, but it is in Kantaka shasthiamsa. Does it mean that Saturn period will give me success and troubles as well.

Similarly, if malefic planets are in good Shasthiamsa are they going to bestow good effects on the natives.

I would like to be enlightened from your inputs.
