Guest guest
!Om Gurave Namah! Dear Visti ji, Namaskar! In North India astrologers prescribe horse-shoe ring as a remedy for afflicted or badly placed Saturn. Further, from various teachings I have also read that if Saturn is not favorable for the native the Native should stay away from Saturnine things e.g. - not wear Iron etc. I am confused since both these concepts are contradictory. I will appreciate if you can shed some light on the contradiction. Warm Regards, Pranav
Guest guest
??? ??? ?????? Dear Pranav, Namaskar Well... I also once heard of one astrologer prescribing alcohol to appease Saturn... Really i don't know what some of the astrologers there come up with these days! Don't get me wrong, there are many excellent Pandits in Nothern India, but the scene is diluted by many of these peculiar remedies. Important points to consider: There are three levels of remedial measure: Tantra: Tanu, physical level, related to the body, the diseases in the body, actual restraint of wrong actions and decisions. Mantra: Mana, mental level, related to the mind the thoughts, the actions as a result of good or bad thoughts. Yantra: Atma/soul level, related to the soul and its voyage through birth and rebirth. Ensuring the protection of the soul and restraining the mind and body from performing acts which inflict the soul with more sin/dustha karma. A remedy can work on all three levels, such as the worship with mantra, but Tantra and in particular the use of gemstones only works on the physical body and forces the person to refrain from certain activities or promote other activities... This may not have any effect on the thought process or decision making skills. Question for the future: When to prefer which remedy, and why? In south india too people worship certain god with cigars and non veg foods. Quite strange! Guest guest
!Om Gurave Namah! Dear Visti ji, Namaskar! Thank you for the prompt response! I totally agree that there are some remedies, which are very commonly used but doesnt make sense to me (and it might be my lack of my knowledge). I am going to explore the answer to the intriguing question you have posted. One question comes to my mind - Can this horse shoe ring remedy have reverse effect? Since native is actually inviting Saturn to oneself. Thank you for continued guidance. Guest guest
||HARE RM KRSHNA|| Similar doubts have been in my mind also and I discussed with some local astrologers here in jalandhar, could find a suitable answer, however one person told me that for positive saturn one should wear horse shoe ring of a black male horse and for negative saturn a horse shoe ring of a female white horse. may be there is some logic which I could not understand just as I cant understand the utility of a ring made of nail used in a boat for appeasing saturn. As Guru Visti has rightly told about where to use tantra, mantra and yantra,it depends upon the abilities, vision, knowledge and experience of the concerned astrologer to decide when to use what and in todays date when people declare themselves to be astrologers by reading one or two books ( I know a few of them personally)it seems to be a difficut task to seek proper remedies. with regards vikas , sushmagupta51 <sushmagupta51 wrote: > > !Om Gurave Namah! > > Dear Visti ji, Namaskar! > > Thank you for the prompt response! > > I totally agree that there are some remedies, which are very commonly used but doesnt make sense to me (and it might be my lack of my knowledge). Guest guest
||Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya|| Dear Visti, Pranam. Just adding my 2 cents - The iron ring usage as a remedy for Saturn popularly in Northern India finds its roots in the story of birth of ASHWANI-Kumaras. Despite the strained relations between the father (SUN) and Son (Shani), there is no ill-will between the step brothers : Shani and Ashwani-Kumaras, rather Shani is protective and affectionate towards Ashwani-Kumaras. Precisely for this reason the ring is preferably made from the Horse- shoe of a black male horse, and the same is not a complete ring but kept open where the ends meet, something like a C with the opening nearly closed. This piece of iron is collected from a Horse-shoe which is removed after its useful life is over and the horse is being provided with a new one, or a fallen one by chance; is made into a ring by beating and without using fire,(thus avoiding SUN/MARS-signification). Some people say it has got some magnetism developed and the alignment of the domains will get disturbed if the material is heated. I have not tested this aspect. I have seen mostly this ring being advised by every quack and being worn by most of the people in Northern and Eastern Belt of India due to superstitious and poorly informed masses, coupled with low cost for this remedy which every roadside quack suggests. Not even the astrological advice is sought in many cases where people are seen wearing such a ring advised by some of their family members like an aspirin. Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Namaste Shilpa ji et al, I would like to add my penny to what Pranav has correctly stated. In our parampara, for marriage purposes, fasting on the day of the lord of the Upapada lagna is taught to be the best remedy. The reason for this is that when we are seeking to get married, or looking for a spouse, we are looking for the physical manifestation or the maya ( in this limited context, as it comes first) and not the mana or atma. UL is such physical manifestation and therefore "brings the spouse" to us. Then there on, we can go to the 7th bhava etc.. I hope gurus guide my limited understanding and expression. Guest guest
||Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya|| Dear Gaurav, Pranav and Shilpa ji, Namaste. Sure such a ring is not at all a remedy for marriage in this or any other case. Fasting on UL days is sure shot, plus there are other ways too, like Gauri Pujan with specific Mantras, Vishnu upasana for girls etc. as told by Guru Sanjay ji in Atri lectures. I have seen these remedies working. Saturn Ring remedy is helpful in making one humble and keep low profile, be polite, specially towards the poor/disabled and servants, which are some other ways to seek favour from Saturn. Excessive or long duration use of such a ring makes one go into depression cycles and one finds it very difficult to say 'NO' when one wants to. This makes nature and psychology of people more saturnine; this is told from experience.
