dear friend

have already mentioned this process followed by me earlier in all

groups but am giving the same again.

purification: when the rudraksha is plucked from the tree, mostly is

is not ripe and is light in weight. also to protect it from

infestation, we dip it in a container of oil for a couple of months

and then do wet and dry cleaning to ensure that the lines of the

rudraksha are visible clearly and the scalp is peeled off fully and

there are no infests. then it is dipped in gangajal and cow milk

before doing sanctification.

sanctification: the rudraksha is placed atop a svayambhu shivling and

a proper rudrabhishekam is conducted to the rudraksha along with the

shivling so that the energy from the svayambhu shivling gets into the

rudraksha as well as treating lord shiva dwelling in the rudraksha as

being worshipped through this rudrabhishekam.

energisation: shivapurana mentions each rudraksha to be energised

with a specific mantra and the same is chanted to instill that

mantra's energy into the rudraksha.

programming: on an auspicious day, date and time, the native wears

this rudraksha by reciting the sankalpam in which the native's name,

star, gothram and the desire for which this rudraksha is worn are

spelt.

in the puranas only energisation with mantras for 1 to 14mukh

rudrakha is mentioned and the other processes have been taught by my

guru. various people do these other processes in various ways and i

have no comments on them.

in the ancient classics viz. puranas, these processes are not

written. some modern rudraksha sellers have written books mentioning

various processes even for rudraksha beyond 14 mukh. i have not yet

come across any purana or ancient classic where any reference about

the usages, benefits and diety attributions along with mantras have

been mentioned for the rudraksha beyond 14mukh. shivapurana and

various other puranas have clearly mentioned that rudraksha are

available from one to fourteen mukh. i also read one modern book

writing various attributions for rudraksha beyond 14mukh in which

some old book (not a purana) was referred which does not exist.

since mantras and dieties have not been elucidated for these

rudrakshas, i am offering only 1 to 14mukh rudraksha which has been

mentioned in all puranas.

with best wishes and blessings
