Anna Nicole Smith is dead (for Mary and all)

Namaste, Mary and all

Whether we accept it or not, Anna Nicole has etched herself a seat

among the icons (I hesitate to use pantheon!) of American pop

culture. She was a Playboy centerfold model, a dancer, a reality TV

star, and a wife of a very old rich man! She'll be remembered for

some years to come--perhaps not at the same level as Marilyn Monroe.

She gained stardom while she was here on earth. Let's hope she does

better in the next life.
