Has that position been modified to consider sun-lagna instead or is this an additional and separate line of thinking that you submitted. Anyway, here is Your answer: Primo: Its not my understanding. 5L from Surya is Sani in parivartana with Ketu. Ketu shows defense, this is connected to His homeland (malavya) and He is pretty spiritual (AL with Ra in Cancer - many spiritual people have Rahu in L or AL like Ramana Maharishi) and His image is as fighter for freedom (5L+10L with AL).
