Guest guest
dear friend you have two queries on rudraksha. 1. which size of rudraksha is better? Answer: lord shiva in shivapurana clearly says that the rudraksha which is of amla (emblic myrobalan) size is the best. since amla is big and other fuits compared in other verses are small, the bigger the size, the best it is. devibhagavatam also clearly mentions that the significance of the rudraksha lies in the clarity of the faces (mukh) of the rudraksha which is best only in collector size rudraksha because in collector rudraksha the gap between lines is wide and hence has best clarity whereas in small rudraksha the gap is too narrow that you need a magnifying glass to count the lines close to each other. 2. which origin of rudraksha is better? Answer: lord shiva mentioned that rudrksha trees are found in various countries (in present day geography) nepal, india, srilanka, indonesia etc. however, since various puranas and other scriptures unanimously mention that rudraksha must be round in shape, you would find perfect round shaped rudraksha only from nepalese origin. most (if not all) rudraksha grown in india are of oval in shape. there are perfectly 100% round shaped rudraksha from indoensia and other countries but they are very small in size and hence not preferred. only nepalese rudraksha are 100% perfect round shaped and of good size. for example, the two faced rudraksha produced in india, indonesia and other countries is completely different to the two faced rudraksha of nepal. similarly the rarest round ek mukh rudraksha from nepal is not found anywhere else. since this is expensive due to its rarity, most shiv bhakts have settled to some other variant of rudraksha which is flat and wide (crescent or halfmoon or cashewnut shaped) and has only one line. it is also written in the shivapurana that the rudraksha does not give its benefit unless it is energised. in fact it is written that the wearer would go to hell and stays there for fourteen lives of indra or one kalpam, if he wears without energisation. in the modern parlance, you may construe that a rudraksha without energisation is ineffective or of no use. hence it is suggested that you shall wear only a purified, sanctified, energised and programmed rudraksha. if you have a choice and have affordability, you shall always go only for the nepalese rudraksha of large size. with best wishes and blessings pandit arjun www.rudraksharemedy.com , Vikrant <free_for_blue wrote: > > i request all rudraksh knowledgable people to advise on the folowing.... > which rudraksh bead is better the himalayan bead or the nepali bead..? > here in my above statement i am speaking in terms of the potency, power & effects..? > also which rudraksh bead size is better viz-the normal size or the collector giant size.? > pls advise and guide me and help me make a decision... > thanks... > > > > Vikrant > > > > > > > > Everyone is raving about the all-new Mail beta. > >
