Guest guest
The last time I had pancha karma, I had a program designed specifically to help me with glaucoma. Therefore, my pancha karma included netra basti and I was told it was excellent for glaucoma. I have also read confirmation of this several times. Today I was reading something about netra basti and the author stated that it is contraindicated for glaucoma. No reason was given. Here's what was said: "It is nourishing to the deep connective tissue of the eyes, improves vision and is helpful for eye strain, dry eyes, styes, squinting, drooping eyelids, optic neuritis, early stages of cataract and Bell's palsy. It is contraindicated for conjunctivitis, blepharitis, corneal ulcer and glaucoma." Can anyone comment on whether netra basti might be contra-indicated for glaucoma? If you agree, please tell me why. Thanks.
