mercurial preparations that have been used in Ayurveda on a large

scale but have not been discontinued on the fear of their

unpopularity (as they are metals and the fear of ingesting metals).

Even Ras-sindur about which you have asked in another post is a

similar preparation. Siddha Vaidyas use many medicines made from

Mercury+sulphur. A medicine for liver ascites (Jalodar), which is not

avaialble in market is effective when made from Mercury and sulphur.

Smruti Sagar Ras is an anti-epileptic medicine, where basic

ingredient is once again mercury+sulphur. It can be bought anywhere

in Pune/Mumbai, Unjha pharmacy makes it.
