Why we should Not Eat Onions Or Garlic, If We are Serious on Doing Devotiona

There is a much simpler reason garlic & onion are discouraged- both

are highly Rajoguni foods.

 

Garlic esp, is considered a super hot(hot here means it increases our

inner fire). As such it can imbalance our internal system. Especially

people who are Ayurvedic Pitta type should *never* eat garlic. In

fact, garlic is used as a medicine in Ayurveda for people whose

internal fire is weak, or whose Pitta Dosha is suppressed.

 

This is more true in India, people who live in cold climates should be

able to eat it now & then.

 

As for onions, Indians cant live without those! Onions also increase

Pitta.

 

Onions & garlic are still better than Meat & alcohl, which are Tamsic

foods.
