Guest guest
Hello Vrndavn Parker, Something worng with the email link of your friend, takes me to the Tiger Technologies webmail page and asks for email id and password. But you can probably relay to him that a Linga is a symbol. Siva has not form or gender and hence, Linga is used to represent Siva. The veritcal rock represents the male aspect and if a Linga is to be constructed as per vedic procedures, the vertical rock must go several meters below the ground level, the pedestal represents the female aspect. This is NOT the 144th MahaShivaratri, it comes once every year and this has been going once since thousands of years...there is no time record of when this tradition started. Regards, Bhupendra. vediculture, Vrndavan Parker <vrnparker wrote: > > Dear Friends, > I received this from an American devotee of Vedic spiritual traditions.
