Guest guest
Namaste to all: There's a story in the Shrimad Bhagavatam that tells the circumstances behind the disappearance (or ascension to the highest loka) of Krishna from the world. At that time, Krishna told his brethren to move out their present residence because of bad omens in the environment. As such, he led his brethren, numbering to millions, to another location. However, as the caravans were moving toward their new location, a group of relatives apparently started a fight with another group. The fight escalated into a war which got Krishna and Balarama involved. At the location, there were bamboo canes that grew. And, as the fighting continued the bamboo canes turned into metal. The fighting relatives, including Krishna, used these canes to kill each other. At the end of the day, all of Krishna's relatives died. Balarama rested and went into mahasamadhi. Krishna too rested and disappeared. Even the devatas, who were present, could not decipher how and where Krishna went to. Moral of the Story This is a bit puzzling to decipher. Perhaps, someone from the group can piece it all together. Given the apparent arguments in the other jyotish lists, this story may have some relevance to us all. Regards, John R.
