May I request all posters here and elsewhere (most are the same, I

know!) to please follow the following requests (!):

 

If you are serious and wish to be taken seriously -- when posting

birthdata for making/proving a point -- please post the original

documented birth data (in cases where you have **rectified/doctored**

it!).

 

Please post the name of the city and state/province and country as

opposed to some longitude latitude pulled from your atlas which may or

may not be accurate, given the enormous bloat of software all over the

place!

 

I do not care about other aspects of astrology but unflinching honesty

and disclosure about birthdata must be followed or we are all building

castles upon shifting sand!

 

There have been publicly posted concerns and aspersions about several

indian astrological texts and books and magazines and articles and the

birthdata given therein. Some of these have been due to lazy

assistants (they are convenient scapegoats, in any case!) and to their

credits, some of the authors have accepted such mistakes in subsequent

editions - even those who pointed out calculation errors rather

pointedly in earlier horoscope collection books by revered other

Jyotishis!

 

Let us be watchful and careful and above all pay attention to what we

use as incontrovertible proof and illustration of our understanding or

misunderstanding, as the case may be :-)/
